My lunch experience at Theva Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. It combined delectable cuisine, attentive service, and breathtaking views, resulting in a truly memorable meal. I can't recommend this place enough, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Stunning view, stunning food, great people. I sat down and was quickly served some of the most delicious cucumber soup I had ever had in my life; followed by drinks while watching the stars. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Kandy- a meal to remember! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The view from the dining area is stunning. I was lucky to catch the sunset from the terrace. The kind of reviews one reads either one gets satisfied or disappointed. Ours, unfortunately, was the latter. First, the person serving us got us the wrong order. The vegetarian meal was replaced by a fish dish. It took 15 minutes to replace the order. Add that to 35-odd minutes of waiting for the order. Then the waiter spilled water TWICE while laying down on the table. Effectively we changed three dining tables. I would have accepted it as "One Bad Day In The Office " However the quality of the food was less than ordinary. The local Sri Lankan cuisine was rather poor. The atmosphere and views were great. The food was excellent quality and reasonable price. We absolutely loved it. You should ook before you go and know that google maps won't take you all the way there. It's 500m beyond what google says. Walking back to lake is about 45 min but really beautiful walk, where we saw many lovely birds and butterflies. Beware of stray dogs though.

This restaurant has won many awards but culinary wise it was lacking… sugar in dishes & sauces masked fresh seafood. Table arrangement did not showcase a magnificent view, all tables were set back inside. Staff were attentive & sweet. Beware it is difficult t get a taxi back into Kandy town. Theva Cuisine is one of the best restaurant in Kandy where you should try if you are foodie. Specialty of this restaurant is they have give the priority for vegetarian and vegan foods and there are few options with sea food and chicken. But the taste of the food is amazing and always they are trying to what their customers are expecting. Also staff are super friendly and they are doing their best for your comfortable. The atmosphere and the service of the staff is incredible. The price of the food seems a bit too much compared to portion sizes and quality. However its still delicious. Disappointing experience. The portions were ridiculously small, leaving me bit hungry and unsatisfied. The hype surrounding the food was completely unjustified – overrated and overpriced.
