Recently had a wonderful dining experience at a centrally located cafe in Kandy. The atmosphere was delightful, and the service exceeded expectations. This spot predominantly offers Indian cuisine, and we tried the chicken biryani and prawns fried rice – both were incredibly tasty. I recently visited Golden Curry, an Indian restaurant, and I had a wonderful experience. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, from spicy curries to creamy desserts. The staff are very friendly and professional. They check on the customers time to time and look for their needs. They also provide recommendations and suggestions for the best dishes to try. The food is very tasty and well-presented. There are many choices to suit different preferences and tastes, but they are a bit expensive compared to other restaurants. However, there is no service charge or tax added to the bill, which is a fair deal.
The restaurant has a lot of space and can accommodate large groups of people. It is suitable for a family dinner or a date night. There are less choices for vegetarians, but they are good and satisfying. The restaurant opens at 1:00 p.m. and is a good choice for dinner because of the cozy and romantic atmosphere.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Indian cuisine and wants to have a relaxing and satisfying meal. Golden Kitchen is one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to.

Omg!!! We loved it so much! Abdul was so helpful and kind, he took the time to explain the menu with pictures as well. He gave as a good recommendation. Staff is attentive and friendly. The food tasted so good, we couldn’t finish it all.

2nd visit after 6 months.
One of the best restaurants in Kandy. Tastes good, the portion is enough for one & most importantly value for money. They don't charge any extras in 2024, NO Vat or service charges.
Waiters are well trained and professional. I heard them giving clear explanations to the tourists.
The presentation and ambience were good.
The only problem is they don't have a parking space. It's easy to get a spot at night but during the day it's a bit of a challenge. They do have an open space at the top for dining.
Recommend this place of you're visiting kandy.

Kili Parotta
You should skip meals before visiting this restaurant. The service was speedy and friendly. And I also want to mention the kitchen staff for preparing such a delicous meal. Plus it's all at an affordable price. We will definitely visit again to have dinner as some of the dishes are only available after 6pm. Highly recommended!!

The food tasted good at the Golden curry restaurant. The value for money is very good. The only issue with food was that most of the dishes can be ordered only after 6pm. The service was a bit slow and the shop felt a bit cluttered for space because the seating was closely put. The staff was friendly and helpful but very slow to serve, and even bringing the bill was slow.

Once I saw this place from the street and it got my attention, I really wanted to pay a visit.
The interior is quite nice, like in an Arabic palace. They have given so much thought into it. We sat in a table with a nice view.
The waiter was friendly and helped us to choose something new to try, gave us detailed information on the food.
Food was served very fast and in a proper way. We had a Chennai chicken Chukka buriyani, Chettinad chicken dish and a lime drink (I think, as I can remember 😅). Food has a lot of spices and excitement, enjoyed every bit of it. We had something for dessert, it was soo good! Please help me to remember the name 🤪
I think there’s no parking and no wheelchair access.

Beautiful restaurant with several delicious food, amazing atmosphere and great service. Excellent environment and great menu choices . Especially the Chennai Chicken Biriyani and kili parotta I would recommend the most . Really delicious food and at affordable prices. .
