Good restaurant with local cuisine. The locals that were getting to the place for lunch were going directly to the counter, asking specific food, and ending up with a big plate of different things that they ate at the place, or with a box full of food to take away.
I and my boyfriend were the only foreigners at the restaurant at that time and when we sat down, a waiter showed up and gave us right away menu in English. We ordered kottu and as a result, ate completely different meal than everyone was eating. Because of that, I also can't tell if we had touristic prices, or not. But the food was good and I enjoyed my kottu.
Water was free to take - there was a self service where you needed to take glasses and we brought the used glasses back and washed them in a sink for other people. I don't know if this is exactly how the restaurants intends it to do, but this is how we saw other people doing it, so we followed.

The atmosphere of the place was good. The place also was clean.
We ordered chicken briyani and sea food nasi goreng. Each prices 700LKR. Both were poor in taste and preparation. Briyani was like yellow rice with rotten chicken piece. Nasi goreng was burnt and had a weird taste. All the food had a weird kind of fishy taste even in chicken briyani.
Not recommending above dishes.

Good food restaurant in Kandy located in George E De Silva Mawatha. Food is good and tasty. Service is good. Prices are reasonable. More food options are available such as, Fried rice, Kotthu Biriyani, Nasi goreng and more. Parking space is available for few vehicles.

We highly recommend the vegetarian rice and curry. The Currys had a really good quality and different taste. The waiters were open to answer all questions and adjusted the level of spice for us.

I saw the menu posted two months ago so was shocked to be handed one where the dishes were between 50% and 100% more expensive.
I choose to leave. Inflation is high but I've not seen this anywhere else.
Choose your own conclusion as to why my menu was different to others
Ordered a chicken fried rice through Uber eats. For a while I thought it’s a vegetable fried rice cause there were no chicken included. The rice too was not properly cooked. Must say this is the worst fried rice I’ve ever had. Plus when I complained about this to them they didn’t even care to reply me back l. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
