I just visited Cafe Divine Street in Kandy and had a fabulous experience. I ordered their cheese kottu, which was comforting and delicious. After a long day of travelling and not having eaten much, this dish was like a warm embrace. It reminded me of a huge bowl of mac n cheese with an exciting twist of fried onions and a hint of spice that added a delightful kick.
The portion was incredibly generous, so much so that I could only manage to eat half - a testament to the hearty and satisfying nature of the meal. Small compact place sometimes it's a little warm inside. I think due to kitchen being so close but still I find this place very good because of all those things kinda make the place what it feels like I guess.. and it's clean. the food sometimes can take time if they have a crowd but the food is tasty and I think the portion for the price is also good here...
If you order something spicy like Nasi goreng make sure you tell them your spicy level...

I am only sorry to not to discover this restaurant earlier. Very good food for a lower price than average food in the city centre, huge portions. They made it without spice and brought the chilly separately for me to add as much as I like.
