The coffee was brilliant and delicious made by a lovely young girl who had a great smile which was the highlight of our visit to the cafe. But the disappointing part was their breakfast The eggs Benedict with spinach $23 the eggs were hard not freshly cooked , the hollandaise is from a carton, would not of been so bad if it had been at least heated up, plus not much spinach or mushrooms My husband ordered the big breakfast the eggs not freshly poached along with everything else precooked including a small bowl of inedible gluggy mushroom stuff and the 3 small sausages which were deep fried, the hash browns were good, not good for $27 Come for coffee but not breakfast. Unfortunately we weren't to happy with our experience here. The open chicken sandwich was delish, but the fish tacos were a real let down. The fish was so overcooked and dry it just wasn't enjoyable at all. Service and staff were lovely though. Hopefully next time itll be better. Steak was cooked to perfection whilst my partner enjoyed the eggs benedict. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will return in the near future. Great service & great atmosphere. The best coffee in town, surrounded by a creative and inspiring environment. ZACK is the barista you want in your life, he makes amazing coffees and always has the sweetest smile and attitude. Definitely recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Coffee is sometimes nice, depending on who the barista is, the eggs bene is the worst bene I’ve ever had in my life, there’s bacon jam on it which doesn’t belong on it at all it’s absolutely disgusting, like, whose idea was it to combine bacon jam with hollandaise sauce? did you guys even taste it when y’all thought of it? the bagels however are pretty good the bleat in particular, but Zippys is pretty meh now, this place used to be poppin, what a shame. Great place great service. Meals arrived quickly and were cooked to perfection. Poached eggs were perfect! Definitely a place we will return next time we are in town. On a side note the booths are quite narrow to get into so recommend anyone with mobility difficulties to use the chairs and tables instead.

This place came highly recommended, hence the disappointment was far too greater when it did not deliver. It is hard times for hospitality all over the world and we appreciate that this place was open and semi humming. It felt like they specialised in bagels. Hmmmmm. Doughy bagels, hardly toasted served with store bought chewy salmon, super dry and tiny capers and semi stale onions . Very very average. Store bought deep fried hash browns and maple flavoured syrup on french toast. Where is the chef talent here? Guys, we are sure you can do better than this. Thank you for the hot coffee on a cold sunday afternoon while waiting for my connection Bus to Hamilton. Coffee was presented with some m&m's and a marshmallow. Zippy is always my go to place in Rotorua. It has a nice atmosphere, is warm in the winter and the food is good. The coffee has gone down a bit in my last few visits. It used to be great, now it's too bitter, and the presentation is really lacking. However, I dare say most people are used to bad coffee and won't notice.
