Loved the chicken dum biryani!! Its the best biryani i have had in Malta by far. I requested spicy and they made it as is. We also had chai (which was a bit too sweet), paratha with paneer butter and aloo matar, both which were above average but can be better. The size of the paratha was small. Avoid at all costs I have never had such bad Indian cuisine. I ordered a butter chicken and rice. This took a while to arrive so in the meantime I visited the restaurant bathroom. They were unhygienic and looked like it needed a good scrub with bleach. The restaurant recognised we had been waiting a long time for our food so they compensated the four of us with chips and ketchup. My Coca Cola was icy cold and refreshing. I was happy about this. When our food arrived it didn’t come out all together. The food was disappointing and did not taste like what I had thought I ordered. I let the waiter know the curry was ‘not great’ to which he just stood shocked and stunned in silence and then left the table. It was the most awkward interaction I’ve ever experienced in a hospitality establishment! All of us expressed how we weren’t happy with the meal. None of us finished our meals as we didn’t like the flavour. The saga continues as we had to ask for the bill multiple times. We were able to get a 10% discount but seems as at least half the food was left I thought this was depressing. After other members of my party have posted reviews, the restaurant has left false and rude messages. They claim we are posting fake reviews. I think this is a very unprofessional way to handle this matter. We went to this place on the first day in Malta when I was craving desi food - went back again for the next 2 consecutive days till we left Malta! Good food & great service! The cook was very professional and super friendly. Tried the Aloo parathas & butter chicken - they did not disappoint! Very well worth for the price :) it also gives a feeling of home cooked food :) Definitely give this place a shot when touring around Mdina/Rabat!

It's a small place, we didn't expect much but the food turned out very tasty. I haven' had such good quality paneer in a while outside India and they were delicious here. Avoid at all costs. I wish we had read the reviews before we ordered. I ordered the Lamb Korma (I know a mild curry) but what came was not Korma as we know it! It was a thick brown deluge with bones and fat for meat. The popadoms and naan were grease and we weren’t offered anything to drink. I sent my meal back and whilst the waiter was very apologetic and offered to make a new dish without bone, I declined. When the bill arrived the korma was still showing. I made it quite clear that I would not be paying and the waiter accepted this without hesitation. I would take your hard earned cash and precious time somewhere else.
