Cash only! This is an amazing small family owned restaurant serving authentic Yukatan food. We tried the sausage (longaniza) and the pork (Lechon) and they came in big portion with a lot of vegetables. Their salsa is spicy but very delicious as well. Embrace the heat when you are sitting here enjoying authentic Mexican food in this beautiful town. Highly recommend! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $300–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Fabulously presented, wonderful tasting food served with a very friendly smile in an open faced diner with a palm roof, cute little decor touches like the hand carved pots for tortillas. We overdosed on the Chaya, for all that don’t know is a superfood that’s served as a delicious juice here in Mexico that comes in all different flavours. Some of the best breakfast you are going to find in town.
Authentic Mexican food full of flavour! The service is great and the prices are in bargain territory especially when you consider the quality of the ingredients! Beware that they do not serve alcohol, however they have a great variety of delicious fresh juice! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch
SCAM, never go there again! PLEASE DON’T VISIT!!! They charged way to much, like outrageous prices. We had 2 dishes and 2 juice and had to pay nearly €65. The food was good, I have to admit, but this can not be tolerated! After we payed we walked back because we were doubtful about the bill. The same lady laught us right in our faces and told us this was an modern/new menu and walked away. PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Normally I don’t write reviews, but this felt odd. It’s standard casual Mexican food, but everything was off. The menu prices have stickers placed over them so you don’t know the price of what you’re ordering. My meal cost $320 pesos for an order of 4 panuchos and an agua del día, exorbitant prices for Mexico, especially Valladolid away from the central plaza. That’s more than double what I’d expect. Also the panuchos themselves weren’t the best. Rotten lettuce, serving sizes that are WAY too big, no salsitas, the panucho itself was soggy but the meat was dry, and they already include the tip in your bill instead of letting you choose… everything was off. The agua del día WAS delicious though, but still crazy that it cost $90 pesos. It tried to give off the vibe of a chill “local” restaurant, but it’s not at all. Nobody living in Mexico would pay these prices for this. I wish I saw the warning signs before eating here. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $300–400

Scam! I recently ate at this restaurant, and overall, the food and service were okay. However, my experience took a disappointing turn at the end when they unexpectedly increased our bill by 40%, claiming that the menu prices were "old." This felt like an attempt to scam us, which left a sour taste in our mouths. Be cautious when dining here, as this price manipulation left us with a negative impression. We had breakfast here. It was right next to our hotel and it was a gem. We had the eggs, Chaya and longaniza special. It came with homemade tortillas in this beautiful container, beans (some of the best I’ve ever had), yummy fried plantains, fruit (with honey and homemade granola) and tea. Quite a large portion which made both my husband and I very happy. I know eggs can just feel like eggs but with them the flavor was just was just so delicious with everything they made. The waitress was so kind. I highly recommend eating here! Note in picture: the plantains that come with the meal are on the plate with the eggs. We also ordered an extra order of plantains that didn’t come with the breakfast special.

Edit: Lowered to 1/5 after having food in Merida - avoid! Summary: It's certainly a tourist trap - would have gone elsewhere if not for the positive reviews. - One of those places with a separate tourist menu with significantly higher prices. You're looking at $300 for a main and $150 for a drink which is extremely steep for what it is. - The restaurant was extremely hot and humid. We were the only ones there for lunch and it's clear that their furniture is falling apart. - The food was surprisingly average. We went for the highly recommended pork chop which was a thin piece of very overcooked meat. - They incorrectly charged us more on the cheque. If they want to increase their prices they need to get it right! - It seems like a quiant family affair which is nice but unfortunately the positives do not outweigh the negatives.
