Off-the-beaten path soba noodle restaurant in a very quiet lodge operated by an elderly couple speaking no English. We found it via the Myoko Winter Guide magazine (this is the spot called Ginmeisou Soba). We made a booking by calling ahead (our hotel helped us) which was a good idea because otherwise I am not sure if they would be open, we were the only customers and the lodge seemed empty! The recommended tenzaru soba with dipping sauce was delicious, with good texture. The tempura was a mix of various veggies and shrimp, all were very good! Great value, delicious food in a quaint atmosphere.
