What a hidden gem! This cafe is a 15 minute walk from Kawaguchiko station, but it was worth every step. The food was delicious and prepared thoughtfully. It's clear that the owners take pride in the food they prepare.
The Tai Chazuke blew my mind. You eat half of it as a sea bream sashimi over rice, and the other half as a porridge with the green tea broth added. It was a very unique preparation of chazuke and unlike anything I've had in Japan.
The tuna belly katsu was equally impressive. Perfectly rare on the inside, the crisply breaded for a nice plan textures.
We ordered the strawberry cheesecake for dessert. It wasn't your traditional cheesecake, but in a lot of ways it was better. Deconstructed and with oats added for crunch... It was the perfect way to end our meal.
We also had our hotel concierge call to pre-order our meal because we had a tight timeline. They were very accommodating and we ended up making our train with plenty of time to spare.

Little cafe with home cooked Japanese traditional food. Delicious and healthy. Wonderful dining place. Clean and with soft music in the background. Good place to idle the afternoon away if you are not rush for time.
The atmosphere in the cafe is relaxed and comfortable. In addition, cake and coffee are so tasteful.

Modern, spacious and welcoming interior, with tatami rooms for larger groups. Lovingly presented set meals that tasted good with nice coffee. Nice staff. I think you pay a little more here for very good quality.
