Wonderful place run by a super nice owner supported by a wonderful team. The restaurant is directly at the sandy beach. They offer a decent amount of dishes with a good mix of Sri Lankan and western food in good quality. Especially the sea food is amazing! We stayed at Windy Waves for several nights and enjoyed the fresh and varying breakfasts in the morning. As everywhere in Sri Lanka there are dogs around, but they are very gentle. Thanks to the whole team for making our stay in Kalpitiya special 🙂

We had a wonderful stay there. Rooms are comfortable and ideal for a relaxing holiday. We had dinner and breakfast there and they served the most delicious kottu, chicken burger and grilled prawns i had in my life. Sea view is so nice and we went dolphin watching also and it was one of the best experiences for me. Staff is so welcoming and the service was excellent. I highly recommend windy waves. I had a wonderful holiday for a very affordable price.

A hidden gem with excellent service and Quality food and drinks, personal service is impeccable. Order crab or lobster the day before or order seafood mix on the spot. The sunset view is the best and the vibes are pure paradise. We went 3 evenings in a row and were spoiled each time. Place your table depending on the wind and even get a table under roof when raining. Ask for the catch of the day and enjoy! Highly recommend

This place is amazing! We had crab, Lobsters and Oysters. Everything is super fresh, the staff is wonderful. Whoever is there needs to visit this place. Probably the best food in Kalpitya :)

It doesn’t get much better than here! The staff are overwhelmingly kind and helpful. One of the best restaurants in town! Overall excellent place to base your kiting holiday.

We are currently sitting with our group in the Windy waves beach restaurant and can report fresh and uncut that the fried calamari with garlic rice or the fried giant prawns are absolutely top and delicious. In addition to this service, our children also enjoy the burgers with top marks. The service is super friendly and we are very enthusiastic about the culinary diversity from this region. Just wow!! The mixed seafood platter is out of this world!! Delicious food. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful specially considering us being locals (all the other customers were foreigners) . Please keep up the good work we will definitely visit again

Amazing! We went for dinner and it’s higly recommendable. The food was aweasome, tasty and well cooked. The people working there super friendly and the place is so beautiful, in front of the sea, at sunset is a dream place.
