By far the best dinner we had in Sri Lanka so far. The portions were very big and very tasty and everything seemed really fresh. We can highly recommend everything we had, but the rice & curry really stood out with its different dishes of fresh tastiness. Also, the place is run by very friendly people and the atmosphere is simple, authentic and welcoming. This little place is incredibly unassuming, but don't let that fool you. It's tempting to eat on the beach, but I don't think that you can get better value for flavour, anywhere. Truly the best home cooked food, served and prepared by three generations of women. The prawn noodles were good, but the rice and curry was truly wonderful. Dahl, cucumber and onion salad, pumpkin curry, aubergine and fried onion. It relegated all previous rice and curry to medium. Hard to beat. Eating here it is like stepping into your own cozy kitchen. The staff treats you like family, always helpful and kind. And the food? It's like mom's cooking—comforting and delicious, we were a group of 8 and everything went perfectly. If you want a taste of home in Sri Lanka this is the place to be.
