Very small portions, doesn't worth the price.
Service is terrible.
Vegetarians beware, they use fish sauce.
We ordered 2 vegetables pad thai noodles(1750 rupees each) and papaya salad(1000 rupees).
I don't know why they call it vegetables pad thai, it is only rice noodles and leeks.
No other vegetables.
Also use lots of sugar in everything.
We accidentally used the black sauce that was on the table, thought it is soy sauce.
It is not. It is fish sauce.
After the first bite we realised that it is fish sauce, so we didn't even eat it.
The owner didn't even offer to give us new dish.
Just blamed us for not asking and took our money.
4500 rupees for nothing.

Love this Thai restaurant in ArugamBay, food is very decent for being a Thai restaurant in a foreign country. The owner is Thai & the taste is so similar to food back home in Thailand.
My personal fav dishes are the Chicken Cashew nut, The vegetable spring rolls, The fried basil & chicken, The Spicy glass noodle salad with chicken and Thai Tea.
Location is also very nice right on the beach, it can get veryyyy busy in the evenings so keep that in mind.

Restaurant was closed temporarily for renovation but opened again.
Food was amazing, we had Pad Thai and Thai Basil Prawns. Very authentic and to be honest it tasted better than restaurants in Thailand.
Entrance is a bit hidden but is through the right fence right to New Tri Star Beach Resort directly on the beach.
Can totally recommend.
Not that tasty
Small dishes for big price.
They serve the curry in very small bowls so it’s full and hot. One dish felt from our hand
And instead of helping us with replacing they said “it is not our fault you have to pay for another one”
The attitude was disappointing

We had heard of a good Thai place in the local area from other people asking us where "the amazing Thai place was". So we had to find this place and we weren't disappointed.
The flavours were absolutely delicious and the service was very prompt. Even my Mrs, who doesn't like spice at all, consumed her Thai green curry which definitely was packed with spice and flavour.
A must for anyone in the area.

This is very authentic thai food restaurant in Arugambay.
The service was quick and all staff were very friendly.
We love their papaya salad so we ordered twice :) The portion was a bit small, but no food loss, and we can enjoy different food sametime so actually perfect for me!
I'll be come back here.

Food was okay but the quantity was a bit light.
Concerning the service, we had to be the ones chasing the waiter to have the menu and then again to order. After a while waiting for the drinks and seeing other tables receiving theirs, we had to ask at least for the bottle of water. On top, we received our main dishes separately.

Disappointing. The curries taste very good but are very small portions. To serve a Coca Cola in an open glass for double the local price - what are you guys actually thinking? Heavily overpriced drinks (water, softdrinks, tea, etc.) and food in general.
To use some strange frozen fish that was almost not chewable in the fish curry is an absolute no-go given that everyone in Arugam is serving fresh fish (they couldn't tell me what kind of fish it was - even though I asked two times).
Sago as a desert was just incredibly tiny. Really laughable. A portion for a mouse maybe.
Very disappointing - we are not coming back. 👎🏻
No one was able to say goodbye when leaving.
Total tourist trap. Thanks but no thanks.

Coke was in an open cup still.
Sail Fish was still frozen and not fresh. I know the taste and this was super chewy.
The Sago was microscopic - including Coconut Milk and everything.
Not a word from anyone when we left - even though we were the sole guests for most of the time!
I‘d honestly be surprised if not more people would have the very same impression like we did.
