Coffee ok, but maybe hot food will better Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
We were at the airport 9x in 3 weeks. 8x the service was great. The 9th, I asked for the artificial sweetener to be added first. The lady serving me said no, I could put it in when I get my coffee. I’ve never ever experienced this blatant refusal of a simple request anywhere, and have avoided the cafe the last couple of times we’ve been to the airport, purely because of this. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Sausage rolls, pies, hot chips were legit. Never expected airport food to be this good. Thank you. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $1–10 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
We had a tremendous experience with the friendliest staff of Wayfarer Cafe. We ended up in Invercargill after missing a connection in Auckland, after just having flown almost 16 hours from Chicago. We were tired, hungry and with 3 boys who were showing all the signs you can imagine of 3 boys having a just had this experience. The ladies could tell we needed a bit of extra care - and they stepped up! Great conversation, patience and amicably explaining to these Yankees the different menu options. The food was yummy - I had a chicken wrap, my wife had a vegetarian frittata, and the boys had cheese sandwiches (and chips, and chocolate). The coffee was delicious, and Steinlagers - well, that was a necessity. (But they did have 6 or 7 different beer options, including imports). The 4 hours at Invercargill gave us a chance to recharge - and most of the credit goes to the Wayfarer Cafe team! Meal type Lunch

Possibly the worst piece of lemon tart ever. Crusty in all the wrong places. Tasted vaguely of refrigerated fish. Coffee and one small fishy slice 14 dollars. Coffee was OK. Be warned. Jetplanes cost $ 8.50 at the Relay shop - go to Countdown first. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $10–20
Had to tell them the seating area was a mess plates and cups everywhere. Tables not clean. To busy having a yak out the back. Also food is overpriced $4 for a cheese roll and $9 for a croissant. Daylight robbery . Did make a good coffee that's about it
Food is decent, prices are a little high, does an OK job for an airport cafe Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

I'd give them no stars but I can't! Not impressed with this cafe. Buy a coffee, ask for sugar and you have to do it yourself. I mean really it only takes a couple of seconds for them to do it whilst making it. Also the wooden sticks to stir it with are just in a jar you have to reach into. Who knows how many hands have been in there and how clean their hands were, that's gross! Feel like a pie they have one type Satay Chicken imho one of the worst pies ever invented. In saying that they do have gluten free and vegatarian foods available.

Coffee was some of the worst I’ve ever had the misfortune to ingest. Milk was burnt and had split. Service Take out Price per person $1–10 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
Get something to steady the nerves before flying.
