Absolutely loved this place. What a hidden gem! The food was unbelievable and the staff was super friendly too. Honestly can't recommend this place enough. Every single thing that we had was just absolutely extraordinary. Had a really good time here. They have food, beers, cocktails and a nice environment. Second visit. Served by an American waiter w a shell necklace. I asked if the oyster happy hour finished at 5pm, which was sad as I would have ordered the oysters during happy hour as per the sign.. The oysters' happy hour is available all day. You might want to change the sign I said, which was met with a stuff you face! I was just trying to help. My bad. First visit. Fantastic service here from the barman. Thanks. The craft beers here are great. There's a good range to choose from. This is a Thai/ Asian fusion restaurant. Food wise, I shared the cerviche, which was delicious. The tofu came with a yummy curry sauce. My pork belly on lettuce leaves was out of this world. It was absolutely moorish. The pork was crispy. The curry is absolutely delicious, and the lettuce leaves make this dish light. No heavy bloating or feeling too full. Different chef on my second visit, unfortunately, so it's not as good as the first night. The fresh oysters were fresh and tasty, and the tempura oysters were nice, but the fresh oysters were a winner. I was so impressed with this place that I went back 2 nights in a row. This was one of the best meals we’ve had anywhere in NZ, and the market fish ceviche tostadas and sichuan style crispy eggplant will go down in our memory as great dishes. This is a loud, funky bar type restaurant, with open kitchen and lots of dishes to order and share. Amazing food - all 4 dishes we had (ceviche tostadas, duck tacos, market fish and the tiramisu) were the best meal we had so far in NZ. Cocktails were amazing too. Service was good - we had no reservation but managed to get a table as walk ins. It filled up pretty quickly. Thinking of going again in the second night in Nelson!
