Friendly and clean. Generous sized fish burger, although all the nice bits were at the back of the burger (onion, tomato and beetroot). Chips were OK, not great (could have been crisper - or better yet, hand cut - be a good optional choice).

Best fish and chips in Nelson, hands down. The chips are always fresh and the oil is clean. The fish of the day is usually fresh gurnard, and is cooked perfectly. There is a wide range of in store made burgers each with a little local twist. I loved the Haulashore Hawaiian and the Stoke Steak. Big burgers with quality ingredients. Quick friendly service also. A quick update. I ordered a fish Burger, 1/2 scoop of chips and a piece of fish for $19. All was cooked and served perfectly. You cannot get that value and quality from maccas.

Don't let the standards slip guys... I've been a long time customer, like 10 years +. Awesome fish n chips. BUT, in the last year or so I've had some questionable fish (gurnard) on a few occasions. Today was one of those unfortunately. It smelled fishy and was mushy with a weird taste. It went in the bin. You can do better. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

When you just want some not so oily Fish 'n Chips this is a great choice. Fish was perfectly cooked with a nice crunchy batter, half scoop of chips generous, battered meat patty was Huge and very tasty! Yummy
