When you are a foodie, just look at the menu. You will understand. Ingredients are key and the menu is not so big. We came here for dinner with no expectations, we only wanted to go here because we walked by it 3 times, and each time, the atmosphere was refined. From the music to the lighting and the decor. We ordered mostly all vegan options and it was mouth watering delicious. We had the mushroom with beets, the stuffed peppers and sweet potato as an appetizer. The sweet potato was perfectly cooked, super soft in the inside and crispy on the outside. Prior to our appetizer, they offered us bread with a mushroom spread. The bread was perfectly toasted. Warm and right amount of crisp. I can go on about the balanced taste of the food but I would say, it’s their sourced ingredients and chefs skills combination that made our dinner so memorable. Lastly, we had the BEST FLAN cake with chocolate ice cream on the side. The cherry on top! The services was fantastic. Always important factor to give a restaurant complete 5-5 stars. Drove by this place a couple of times and really wanted to try it. So we did it on our last night in Tulum, and it did not disappoint. We were able to sit down within 5 min, the place inside is beautiful. I loved everything about it, music choice was also on point. We ordered the tuna tartar and the mussels. To my personal taste the mussels were a little too fishy but the sauce was delicious, and the tuna was super fresh and yummy. Drinks were great, can’t remember which one we had but it was a gin drink. Friendly and fast service. A little pricey compared to all the other places in Tulum. The ratings are correct. This place is chilled out, the food is on point, the cocktails are delicious and the staff are all super friendly. If you are reading this and want to eat some good Mexican food which has been given the culinary spin and elevated a notch but is still very reasonably priced, come here. BLEW MY MIND. Seriously had the most incredible meal here!!!! Listen to the reviews and make this a go to when visiting Tulum. Service was TOP NOTCH, vibes were immaculate and the food was so good I’ve been salivating for it since. Seriously even the bread and mushroom dip had me loosing my mind. For my entree one night I had the octopus and it was hands down the best I’ve ever had and the next night - yes I went back - I had the beef and it literally fell of the bone and melted in my mouth. To call this meal and the experience we had at Tu in Tulum phenomenal wouldn’t begin to do it justice. Having traveled to Tulum before my family and I traveled to all of our favorite restaurants including Arca. We thought we had found our top places until we stopped here on our last day in Tulum. I still cannot believe we hadn’t found and eaten at Tu before. This hands down was the best meal we’ve had in all of our Mexican travels and most definitely the best restaurant in Tulum. The drinks were beyond amazing in both taste and presentation! The food was mouth watering with fine dining plating! And our service was lovely and impeccable, via our service Alex Perez. AP did a phenomenal job making our family dinner one to remember, from his presence, kindness, and outstanding recommendations (although you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, I am sure). Please do yourself a favor and make a reservation to eat here! You will not only love the food but you’ll love the service from AP as well! Our first time at TŪ, was not as busy as all the other reviews have stated which was great for us! The food was exceptional!!!! The risotto and tuna both excellent. Alex was lovely. I told him ahead of time it was my boyfriends birthday and he made it so special for him. Very grateful for this gem of a restaurant. Its a hidden gem that you absolutely cannot miss when in Tulum. World class food with amazing service- Alex Perez is your man- in perfectly designed space. Our culinary journey was so well designed: Started with guacamole, ceviche and couple of tacos- one of them was birria, highly recommended. As second course we had octopus and risotto with fish. All was chased with local Souv Blanc. We finished with flan with chocolate and dulce de lece ice cream for dessert. Can’t say enough how delicious all was. Ambiance of Tulum style design with just perfect music ( we copied spotify list). Please trust me and do not miss this spot. It was a meal of the trip for us. We were in Tulum a week ago - Tu was our favorite place to eat in town. Small restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating. I had the octopus and my husband had the tuna - both were delicious and fresh; they have tasty cocktails, tacos and guacamole too. Highly recommend this restaurant.
