Excellent restaurant with one of the best atmospheres, drinks and services in Belgrade. Cocktails are tasty, high quality and nicely presented. The waiter was helpful with any questions we had, quick and very friendly. The fries with truffles & bao buns were delicious. I'm definitely coming back to try more food! First off, the vibe and decor are great! Super professional and friendly staff. Scored a table at lunchtime, no reservation needed. Next, the food: I tried truffle potato pate and chicken bao buns. The menu boasts a diverse array of street food from around the globe, from Japanese Ramen and Indian biryani to burgers and steak&fries. The catch? These dishes are intricate to nail. And it shows. While nothing was outright bad, it lacked the oomph and authenticity of their traditional preparations. Take the truffle potato pate - it was just salty, missing any real truffle or potato flavor, despite them using real black truffle (a rarity in Serbia). TLDR: Great place, good service and boring food. You can take your dog with. PS: Same goes for the desserts. Newly opened location, much bigger than their 1st one, but still a great place to eat at. Food: International cuisine, well made menu. Great quality, superb taste. The quality and price ratio is on spot. Service: Impeccable, professional, fast, accurate. Helpful, patient, and kind staff. Atmosphere: Spacious, but cosy. Almost every seat inside is offering a great view at their interesting interior and their cocktail bar. It's interesting that so many reviews go gaga about the bao buns, when that was by far the worst thing I ate at Thyme (the pork belly was way way overcooked/tough, and the sauce in the bun itself wasn't that special). But despite the disappointing bao buns, Thyme still gets 5 stars because my goodness was the rest of the food good! The fried chicken sandwich is huge, mouthwatering, delicious. The parmesan and truffle fries are the perfect complement, albeit a bit small in terms of portion size. The winner of the night though? The pumpkin dessert with plum oil ice cream. I'm a little concerned Thyme moves away from a great stand alone restaurant to a chain that stops caring about making great food, and instead making max profits. This is the 2nd Thyme location and the vibe is a bit chain-like. Hopefully the carelessly overcooked bao buns aren't a sign of bad things to come, because I really like Thyme overall with a super inventive menu and some great bites.
