Friendly service and great food. The cacio e pepe was authentic and delicious. The fish was fresh and also very good, and the desserts were unbelievably good. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This authentic italian restaurant is situated just below st paul's cathedral, away from the crowds, with sea views. We ordered aubergines in tomato sauce as a starter and as a main course pizza with parma ham and mussels risotto. Although the parma ham was a bit too salty, all dishes were exceptional and portions were too big to finish. The servive was friendly and attentive. The lady from argentina is the joy of life and makes costumers smile. This was our last supper in malta before flying home and it was definitely a great choice! It is highly recommended! This place was recommended and did not disappoint. I took the Undercroft pizza to go. It was great! Tasty dough and toppings and. They slice the meat right there before putting it on the pizza. I eat in this Italian restaurant first time. I normally don’t make a full order but order food slowly. Order starter eat then order main corse. There are two reasons for this. First if I don’t like the food I don’t order the main course. Secondly if I feel full then I don’t order more food. Here I only ordered Padata do Cozze del chef. A plate of mussels chef style. The dish was tasty but overpowered with chilly or Tabasco. I could not taste the mussels. Rule one. Sea fish must be cooked simply so you can taste it. Second mistake they served me Maltese bread from yesterday and then they warm it up. We Maltese know when the bread is fresh and not. So best not to cheat. Overall a disappointing 3* sorry. I was excited about this restaurant but I was let down. 🥲

Visited this place for the first time following a recommendation by a friend of mine. Booking is always recommended. We visited on a very busy day in Valletta. The place is marvellous. It is a renovated underground place just below St Paul's catherdral. Access to restaurant is by stairs. Parking in Valletta is always a problem. The place offers good ample space between the dining tables. Waiting time to order was within the norm. It seems that owner is Italian and so is the staff. They speak good Italian and adequate English. No Maltese speakers 😞. The restaurant specialises in pasta and pizza though other items are available on the menu. During my visit, some items on menu were not available but it was justified as I visited on peak days during Easter period. Waiting time for drinks and food was good (for some of us) apart from 2 missing plates. These arrived later. Reason is unknown. Waiters apologised for the delays. We reserved here on a Saturday evening, though it turned out that it was not that full. Great Pizza with a more like sourbread dough. Great taste! Gnocchi and Noodles were also nice. We had our Christmas dinner at this restaurant and it was amazing. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, we literally had the restaurant to ourselves and we had a great time. We had a menu of three courses and a dessert. The aubergine parmigiana was the best course of the night, 100% recommended, then we had a risotto or pasta and the truth is that we didn't like it at all, it was the only thing I wouldn't recommend of the night, then a tagliata which was very tasty and the tiramisu also highly recommended. The service was very good and in general, highly recommended.

Amazing place with nice Italian cuisine. I recommend to enjoy your dinner there not going very far from the center of Valletta. We took pizza, focaccia and dessert, everything was delicious and marvelous. Waiters and manager were quite friendly, thank you!
