If I could give a 0 I would have but Google does not allow it . The food was absolutely mediocre in comparative to the price of what was charged. I ordered a milkshake to be honest I would classify it as the worst milkshake I have had in my life. Literally just tasted like milk in a glass. The guy even said they have vanilla ice cream milkshake not sure if he forgot to put the vanilla or ice cream inside. Also we where the only patrons in the restaurant for the whole night. Others came and walked out faster then they walked in. Only positive was the waiters where friendly and very welcoming but guessing from the quiet night that was expected. The Plum is a small, charming restaurant in the Ariana Hotel. The restaurant overlooks the valley which provides a beautiful view while seated. The decor inside is an extension of the hotel. A restoration look with chic wooden furniture. The staff is polite and professional. Given it’s a small restaurant in a small hotel, the dishes are prepared individually and come out as they are ready. We ordered a few items that were vegetarian friendly and shared between the two of us. Their avocado salad was very refreshing and light. It’s made with greens, thinly sliced avocados, and apples, topped with walnuts and dried apricots, in a vinaigrette dressing. The vegetable egg rolls were tasty and had a lot of stuffing. Our favorite dish was an appetizer item which was roasted/charred eggplant and zucchini stuffed with lentils. They were presented in 3 “chucks” which were sitting in a bowl of yogurt. The combination of every just worked and came together very well. Our main entree was parapadelle with mushrooms and an Alfredo sauce. Which tasted as expected, since it’s a typical dish. For dessert we tried a Turkish item called Kunefe. It’s a warm dessert made a spun pastry called kataifi and cheese, drizzled with honey and topped with a Buffalo milk “ricotta” cheese. The kataifi looks like very thin glassy noodles. We also tried their local wine Emir, it’s a white wine. I found it comparable to a Pinot Grigio. If you go right before sunset, you can enjoy dinner during the sunset or at least step out on the patio to watch the sunset. Note, they do have outdoor seating but it was very windy the night we had dinner, so the tables were not set up. Reservations are highly recommended as it's a small restaurant.
