The food - It is a restaurant that serves excellent food. We had most of our meals at Magnolia. Their food is fresh and well put together. I don’t have any complains about their food.
The staff - Ramesh was attending to us on the first day and he made us feel special and tried to accommodate to our needs. Specially when deciding kids’ food. Pushparaj was the restaurant manager and I want to thank him for the excellent service provided to us. He always checked with us for the feedback on the food and service. He tried to accommodate us with a suitable table (warmer area) for our kids so that they felt comfortable. Great service.

Incredible ambiance. Food and potion size was pretty decent and did not leave a hole in your wallet. However, I would say the drinks were pretty unreasonable (although they tasted good they cost as much as a whole main dish at the restaurant). But all in all I would say it was quite a good fine dining experience.
Amazing food!!! Not badly priced and amazing quantity and quality. Service was excellent. Anthony really made our night better by providing many laughs. Would definitely recommend! Vegan option was particularly spectacular 😍

Great service from Ishara and Anthony in the Magnolia restaurant. Came here with my family - mother, father, brother and sister. Excellent service, great food and a lovely atmosphere. I will come back here again!

Really nice luxurious place to eat dinner. We had the nasi gorang and the Kom pao and both were really nice. Was expensive, but you pay for the environment as well as the food

First of all this is not a restaurant at all, but with a quite huge prices comparing with other nearby places. And the menu is very dull - you look and there is nothing you want to order. There is no Mediterranean dishes like on the photo, local food is expensive rices and carry with expensive extras, burger is just bread, cheese tomato and meat. Nothing that you want to taste.
We asked about fresh pineapple juice. And it was like mixed juice plus water. As for 2 weeks in Sri Lanka we never eat so untasty fruit. Then I revived my King prawn salad with 3 prawns in it and dressed with common mayonnaise from the store. Untasty and not healthy. My husband ordered burrito with French fries. And potato was cold. I asked 3 times to bring bread - I eat without it. We wait our bill 10 minutes at least and until I call manager nobody take empty plates.

I visited The Magnolia restaurant about a month ago(on a Friday evening at about 4.00 pm) and ordered a Nasi goreng(1,400 LKR) and it was really delicious😍😋and worth the price. Probably the best Nasi goreng I've had in SL. And last week(18th Tuesday, Aug 2020 at 4:15pm) I visited the same restaurant to have the same dish again because I was amazed by the Nasi goreng I had in my previous visit. And on the 2nd visit I ordered the same item from the menu and I was really disappointed😞🙁. It was really bad when comparing with the first Nasi goreng I had the other day. The portion was small, peanut butter wasn't thick (seems like it's mixed with water), chilli paste was dry and the rice was not tasty at all. I asked from the waiter about the chef and and the chef was a different person on that day.
On my first visit when I had the first bite I've already decided that I'll be visiting this restaurant again. But after my 2nd visit I need to think more than twice before visiting this restaurant again.
