I had a very generous fish curry that was beautifully cooked (think home cooked with love) and spiced, with a delicious mixed veg salad. Chef Winston and everyone that served me were very welcoming and made me feel at ease considering as a solo female traveller. Definitely give this place a try ✨. Had a delightful experience at The Lagoon Hut. Their deviled chicken truly stood out — simple yet absolutely delicious. One of the better dining spots I've tried in Batticaloa. Great food experience! We had the shrimp curry and chilli chicken. The chicken is one of the best I've tasted in my lifetime. The chef came by the table to explain some of the dishes that were on the menu. They also accommodated in making the food as spicy per your preference. Very friendly staff, very tasty food. When you are in Batticaloa or nearby, make sure to stop by! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

After a long search for restaurants in the area we finally found Lagoon Hut. We got greeted with a warm welcome from the staff. We ordered cold drinks and grilled tuna together with French fries and a fresh fruit plate. The fruits was amazing and fresh, and the grilled tuna was great. Would definitely come back here. Thanks for your service
