Overall we had a nice dinner. We went with 7 course menu. The dishes are well decorated. The fish was a bit dry. The beetroot could be more soft. There is a wide selection of wine (local, France, Italy and South America) where everyone may find something. Wine list presentation may be improved - something more visual. The place doesn't have heating so in Jan it's a bit cold - even if they do their best to warm up. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
We loved it ! It was a really nice and tasty moment. Food balanced, perfectly cooked meats, sophisticated sauces, beautiful presentation. Pleasant service. Cosy setting, inside a patio with sunroof. I recommend. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €50+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Smoked Tuna Tartar

We have visited this place recently for dinner and overall it was a really nice experience. Atmosphere: The restaurant inside is really beautiful. From 7pm until 8:30pm we were the only table which made it even more special as we enjoyed a lovely private dining experience. Service: The staff explained every dish well, they were very polite and professional. Food and drink: I have ordered a glass of champagne which was served in a coupe glass. Due to this the champagne flavour was really bitter. For my second glass, I have requested the champagne to be served in a white wine glass instead which made a massive difference in the flavour and enjoyment of the champagne. I understand that the restaurant may want to serve champagne in coupe glasses as it is visually appealing but I would suggest start using tulip glasses instead to enhance the taste and aroma of the champagne. For the food, there is a a la carte choice or tasting menu option. We opted for the tasting menu which was really nice - visually stunning and delicious. I only gave 4 stars since the pastries were too oily for our taste and the sauce with the pigeon overpowered the taste of the meat which was a shame as the pigeon was cooked to perfection. Price: 95€ pp for the tasting menu was a fair price for the lovely experience we had. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a romantic dinner place in Rabat/Mdina. At last, we really hope that the chef can achieve a Michelin star in the future as she is really talented. All the best and thanks for the lovely experience! We had an amazing Easter Sunday lunch today starting off with a very warm welcome from the first class staff. The venue is a beautifully restored Palazzo that has a tranquil and serene ambience. The staff skillfully provided guidance regarding the menu. The service was impeccable adding more enjoyment to the dining experience at this top notch fine dining restaurant. And of course, very high quality food! Well done to all the team! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €50+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
A pure example of culinary excellence! My partner and I decided to go for the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairing . Each course arrived, not only looking more stunning than the other, but every plate was most importantly packed full of flavour and textures , which were all paired beautifully with each glass of wine . A highly recommended experience.. well done, chef ! Hats off ! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Me and my wife had an amazing experience in this place. The food was excellent, staff too. The tasting menu was very creative and delicious. We will definitely come back if we will come to Malta next time Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person €50+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We enjoyed the food and the service in here. The restaurant is carefully prepared for welcoming guests - the staff is super qualified of presenting food and giving us details. We had some maltese rabbit and veal tongue as a main and I can say the combination of taste was really interesting and it wasn't necessarly something I liked ( for example my wife liked them). Blending the rabbit with popcorn didn't find a place into my best tasting experience and the rabbit leg prepared at barbecue was a little too smoked. The veal tongue was tender and maybe some sauce would make it more tasty. Again, the standards for michelin are high and I would normally give it five stars but for the above reasons I give it a four star review. Tucked away in the charming streets of Rabat-Mdina, lies a hidden gem that is poised to take the gastronomic scene by storm. The Golden Fork offers an exceptional tasting menu (7 courses and still double digit without the wine pairing) that promises to tantalize your senses and leave you craving for more. I was particularly impressed by the awe-inspiring texture contrasts found in every course. One standout creation that lingers in the memory is the tender octopus, delicately coated in a crispy tempura-like crust and accompanied by a refreshing lemon jelly. The combination of succulent seafood and zesty citrus notes creates a captivating symphony on the palate. Another masterpiece to savor is the pheasant dish, elevated with an extra touch of heart and liver, elegantly complemented by a white asparagus jus. This unique creation demonstrates Chef Letizia's ability to push culinary boundaries while maintaining balance and sophistication. The Golden Fork is housed in a building dating back to the 15th century. The historic ambiance adds an extra layer of charm to your dining experience. It was magical to stroll back to Mdina after the meal to enjoy the historical town. One of the highlights of dining at the Golden Fork is the opportunity to meet Chef Letizia Vella herself. Her passion for local ingredients and culinary art shines through as she personally interacts with guests. Her warm and genuine approach adds an extra layer of intimacy to the dining experience, making it truly unforgettable. We chose this restaurant according to the Michelin guide. It is located in the center of the island, in the middle of quiet streets, away from tourist places. Booked in advance for my wife's birthday. We were allocated a separate table on the balcony. Great wine, food and of course service. Everything is at the highest level. It was a great culinary experience for us.
