I only wished I had found this place earlier in our trip and I would have been back again and again. The pizza is sooooo good. I would go to say the best I have ever had and only wish I could go back. The service was amazing, and they managed our very large group easily. All dishes were amazing. The kids were sitting in a separate space to allow them to move and play pool and the staff took great care of them ensuring they had all ordered. Such a fun night and topped off with free shots for our whole table! Thank you to all the staff, really friendly.
My second visit to La Place and must say that it's exceptional value for money. The rooms, while basic, are very comfortable, clean and have good (if loud) air conditioning.
The place comes into it's own with its bar and food though. The pizza is amongst the best I've tasted in the Philippines, bar prices are great and I was entertained by the lovely Amalia.
La Place really is a hidden gem. It could be easy to miss this place from the roadside which would be a great shame. From my experience week day evenings aren't so busy but am told it's different on the weekends. It was really nice to be able to chill without loud music.
Thanks to all the staff who made my visit comfortable and fun. I'll be back!

Came with friends and family, great hosting and happy team, seems young and fun. Good food amazing entertainment and band.|Must try the pizza and the spicy cocktails. They had an amazing spicy pinacolda
We came here for pizza and were not disappointed! There were quite a few options and they are cooked in a pizza oven. It tastes like western pizza. The service was great as well as the environment. We also got French fries, which were delicious as well!
We stayed in one (Room Jenny) of the 2 aircon rooms with on-suite bathroom and ofcourse you can't expect a 4 star hotel for the money you pay here so i think it was very good. Rooms are pretty big, nice bathroom with hot and cold water, enough room for your clothes and the bed was good also. They have a nice rooftop where you can wash and dry your clothes. We had breakfast in the restobar which was cheap and good also. They have bread from the Swiss baker so not only Filipino breakfast.
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week, we loved it. The owner made really good breakfasts and dinners (we were always out and about at lunch time). And her drinks were amazing, too. They were really nice. Our rooms were very comfortable, nice and private. We would stay here again if we were to visit Mactan/Cebu again.
We stayed at La Place as a group of three when we went to Lapu Lapu for our Advanced OW course. The rooms are pretty basic but we had a spacious one with an extra bed. The towels on the bed was a nice touch! ||||The toilets are really small cubicles and the showers are lacking hooks to hang my stuff. Don't be fooled by the heaters; there is no hot water at all and the water pressure is very weak. There are soap dispensers but they're never topped up. ||||Perhaps La Place's redeeming factor is the lounge area downstairs. There's a pool table, TV, outdoor hammock area and smoking area further out. I can imagine it would look much better if a little more care was put in. ||||The restobar portion is untrue, however. It is still under construction. The nearest place to eat is the Maribago Grill opposite. All in all, it offers very basic amenities but if you've had a full day of diving, it does the job.
