Went in for a quiet beer on the way home, was treated to an unwanted unprovoked racist (mostly against Maori) alt right conspiracy theory rant from an "ex-jockey" bar man, when he realised I worked in the human sciences professions. Left disgusted.

Awesome place to go and have a few quiet ones at Some cool patrons to drink with Awesome bar staff very welcoming and pleasant and always good to yarn with and the owner is an absolute delight too yarn too

What a fantastic place! We arrived on a Sunday morning, on a 'Hen's Party' excursion and the Cru crew were so welcoming and friendly. The owner even shouted the girls a drink, gave excellent marriage advice and made sure the sober driver was hydrated. So glad we stumbled upon this bar. Definitely be back, when we are in Hastings next!

My son Zack Knox, helps out there and DJS up at level one. The family at cru bar and level one are so nice and friendly. Always keen to help. Definitely go to either of them when you can! Make it your new local!

This is the kind of pub were your smokes money and anything else you have will get stolen, chances are your bound to see a fight or two on most occasions. Cant leave money on the pool table and often people will ask you for money smokes or a drink. Best bet find another pub!

Went for a quick drink while discussing business and was pleasantly surprised with the great service received. Could not fault anything, quiet while discussing business and really great service.
