My girlfriends and I celebrated celebrated our birthdays at The Chef’s Table. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the food, the staff and the atmosphere! Great timing on arrival of appetizers and food. We were encouraged to enjoy our appetizers at leisure and then order. The portions were amazing! The drinks were incredibly made! Our waitress, Jane, was the best!!!! Great knowledge of the menu, great humor! Never had an empty glass! It was an amazing experience all around. 5 stars doesn’t do it justice! Thank you Jane for making our celebration incredible ♥️ Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Sticky Toffee Pudding
What an experience! From the time we entered the restaurant to the time we left it was a 5 star experience. The infused water was so yummy so I didn't get anything else to drink but my husband got an old fashioned (he said it didn't taste like and old fashioned but it was boozy so he didn't complain). We started with the mussels and they were huge! The garlic tomato sauce was really yummy and different. I got the yellow Curry dish and it was good. I think it could have used a little more mango chutney overall 4.5/5. My husband got the meat plate (cannot remember the name) he loved everything but really loved the lamb chop. I pulled the "wife tax" and ate some of his beef kabob and chicken. I will be getting the beef kabob on our return here. It was so good! The sticky toffee pudding was to die for. We got one to go! Now this place ain't cheap but it was worth the splurge. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Sticky Toffee Pudding

Absolutely amazing. The flavors were perfect and all put together extremely well. We took our son here for his 18th Birthday as he'll soon be graduating and going off to Culinary School. I searched for the perfect place for him to experience a Culinary experience and landed at the Chef's Table. We are so glad we did as it definitely exceeded our expectations. Even the mushrooms were so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Amazing job, Chef! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Ribs
My husband and I came here for our anniversary. We were asked if we were celebrating anything special and they truly made it feel like so. Every encounter with an employee was special. Our waitress Tracy really went above and beyond. She told us the history of the restaurant, chef, dishes and ingredients. She also gave great recommendations and gave us a “toast” for our anniversary which were two little passion fruit mimosas. The atmosphere was fantastic. Very chic and moody. The food was delicious. We had the bacon wrapped scallops, stuffed mushrooms and stuffed shrimp, lobster ravioli, steak, green beans, lobster mac & cheese, whipped potatoes and passion fruit crème brûlée. Everything was to die for but the scallops and potatoes were the best. The drinks were also amazing. Aside from the delicious toast we were gifted, we loved the peach mule, wine and the WATER! The watermelon, strawberry and lime infused water was so thoughtful and refreshing… and PINK, which I love. Overall can’t say better things. We had a great experience and will be coming back. My husband and I LOVE The Chef's Table! We have a house in Spring and another out of state. The past 3 years, we've been more at the other house so end up eating here several times while we are in town. Chef Paul continues to add the most incredible new dishes to the menu! We tried most dishes and have loved them all! And dessert is a must! Highly recommend the flavors here! The food was spectacular. I enjoyed the South African flavors. We had a large group and our server, Lea, and others were very patient with us and anticipated our every need. Lea, thank you for being observant and realizing it was my friend Lisa's, birthday. She was overjoyed with the special treatment. You made this a memorable occasion and you will definitely see us again. Chef Paul's restaurant is a place everyone needs to experience for themselves. I look forward to trying some of your new dishes from your seasonal menus. Thank you again! Let me share my dining and culinary experience at The Chef's Table of Houston. The restaurant has a dark theme setting. I can say I was so excited to go on this journey to try South African dishes here in Houston. My pictures will reflect my journey! My menu choice was to experience the Take a Culinary Journey, a customized 8 course menu which is a taste of different menu items. What an amazing experience and journey I had! Each dish I tried the flavors kept me wanting more. My favorite dish was the sautéed calamari in this spicy garlic scampi sauce ….AMAZING!!! The food is hands down phenomenal and amazing! Lily is outstanding, listening to her explaining the different dishes you can hear and feel her passion. To all the foodies I would definitely recommend to dine in and experience the amazing flavors of several unique dishes. My wife and I dropped the kids off at the movies in Vintage. We decided to hangout since we had about a 2 1/2 hour wait. I have heard of the Table through word of mouth so we decided to dine there. We weren’t really expecting to do anything “upscale” so we requested to sit in the patio area. Host was cordial as she directed us to our table. The menu looks absolutely fantastic so we decided to order a few drinks as we contemplated. I ordered a Balvenie 14 year and my wife selected a 10 year Ferrand. We were both surprised that the bartenders hand was very light- it appeared less than an ounce in each. I gave my spirit a little twirl and nosed, immediately realizing this is not Caribbean cask. I took my drink back to the bar where the attendant was apologetic but the poured was about the same of the proper Scotch. My wife took basically two sips to complete hers and ordered a mixed drink to substitute the light handed neat pours. We started off with the crab cake variation which was absolutely delicious and selected the lamb, 16oz ribeye Kudo style, brussel sprouts and mushrooms to accompany. My wife requested hers rare and I opted for medium well, I know it’s blasphemous to some. The waitress comes back and informs me that the chef can’t prepare the Kudo medium, only rare - so I sluggish agreed as we waited. My wife’s lamb however was overcooked and she notified the waitress in which she agreed and came back with another Lollipop plate in less than 5 minutes. As she stood to verify the satisfaction, my wife cuts a small portion and it was more cooked than the first. She apologizes and sends the plate back. I wait to begin eating as I do not want to start prior to my wife. The third time is a charm apparently because this batch was to her liking. My ribeye however was subpar at best. I understand marbling and cuts of meats intrinsically but this was the fattest steak I have ever been served. Seasoning was mediocre but seared well - of the 16oz, I would propose that 10 oz was pure fat. Not to be sexist but men usually complain less than women so I cut the edible portions and decided to give the remaining to our dog. I was thoroughly disappointed in my order and at the fact it took the kitchen 3 attempts to prepare a rare item and yet the meal I requested medium could not be mastered. The service from the waitress was not bad, it was just not the attention one would expect when spending $300 on dinner. In defense of the restaurant, the wine selection is very detailed and the South African influence is cute - it was a nice night out with the wife but the experience was average at best. I'm delighted to share my thoughts on Chef's Table. The atmosphere was truly amazing, creating a memorable dining experience. Julio's exceptional service added to the enjoyment, enhancing the overall visit. The food, while undeniably delicious but the portions were way too small. We liked but would recommend bread or bigger portions. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
