It is a "CAKE SHOP" but They don't ask/remind you if you want anything written on the cake..... Like happy birthday or anniversary etc. I bought a cake of $39 for my wife's birthday and later I realised that I forgot to have her name and happy birthday written on it. When I called the cake shop to ask if I can bring the cake, The girl on the reception asked that if you want to bring the cake we can do it for extra $6 to write the name.
I only get a small slice every now and again but there’s always plenty to choose from and always taste great.
Have had the large cakes too and would highly recommend.
Good Cheesecakes like all the other stores,a new store to the Sunnynook area.we're fans of the Baked cheesecakes..Still not as nice as homemade ones,and the fillings tastes like packet mix..The prices are very steep, but they are pretty nice.
We had never come here before, but in looking for a simple cake for my wife's birthday to share with the family, I decided that surely we couldn't go wrong with a classic American Baked Cheesecake. I knew from the online pictures that it wouldn't be as tall as NY Style, but we were excited as it's been so long since we've had one like it. However, our excitement sadly petered out upon the first bite as the crust definitely seemed to be loaded with coconut flakes (from both the flavour and the feeling on your teeth) and the cake itself had almost a lemony taste to it? I didn't see these characteristics mentioned on the site so tbh we were all roundly disappointed with the flavour. I feel bad knocking this particular shop for it as I assume that they're merely following a corporate recipe, but now idk if we'll buy any in the future. For the other parts, the woman taking orders over the phone was really nice, they had heaps of bday candles to choose from, two chairs inside if you have to wait, but then the other man working seemed to let me pay before the other customer who had some items on the counter so I felt like I was getting eye daggers in my back for what wasn't my choice.
Just leaving staff were “any thing I can help with” when my mum was confused definitely going back to there top notch experience and a bit expensive but good
Just had to post this feedback of the delicious Lemon Meringue Pie I bought from Sunnynook yesterday. It is just perfect with the right amount of tart lemon that makes you want to have another piece!!
I had pondered for ages, as I was looking for something that could be cut into for rest breaks while we are renovating the kitchen. Something not dry like a biscuit but not too fussy like layered gateau.
The lovely senior lady serving was very patient and helpful.
Very pleased with my choice. The only trouble is that I might have to go back for another one as everyone declared it perfect and there is not much left!!
We really love this store and cakes!! But this Saturday we had an unpleasant experience. The cake we bought has been expired on Saturday but the sticker has been replaced to another one. It’s terrible to see spoiled products here which are not safe to eat and cause the stomach upset.
I wanted to purchase a cake for my Dad’s birthday but am not local so decided to ring in. I was greeted by a lovely girl (she might have been Korean?) who helped me organise a couple of cakes which was super easy. She was also super accommodating even when I went to pick up. The cakes were perfect and everyone had a good night! Thanks again!
We admit that your cakes are not bad and we have always loved them. Today we went to buy cake again, but we were greeted by a Korean girl, her anxious attitude was very unacceptable, she seemed anxious, impatient, and made us feel very unfriendly. This makes us very incomprehensible, why do you treat us like this? We just came to buy a cake.
In a word, I hope that the owner of the cake shop can pay attention to this problem. I hope you can improve the service quality and train the staff's service attitude seriously. We will still support you, thank you.
