Nice friendly place to go for a drink and meal. Staff very friendly and helpful. The menu has changed is now Mexican street food. Tacos and such. Food was excellent. Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Bowl of Chunky Fries

Great service, a little empty at 4.30 pm on Friday afternoon. We were a large group and made our own fun. The decor is green and fresh, and drinks very good value. We got the cider melon carafe it was very refreshing. Toilet are clean with the best mirrors! Great out door area and I enjoyed the subtle volume on the music video TV, we did not need to shout over each other. We only had chips and drinks, but they were great. Price per person $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Love the new decor. And the 80s rock on the videos. Shame they haven't improved their cider selection. Just monteiths. Not many people there on a friday after work but lots of staff. Give it a try Nelsonians.. platters good Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Go to McDonalds instead! WOW, beautiful inside, but the meals, ordered a burger and chips - it was disgusting! No table service, (as we were told) and the “meal” was served in a cardboard take away tray! no plates in this establishment- I wasn’t sure if I was eating the cardboard or my burger at the bottom. Very disappointed, it looks upmarket, but what a let down. Atmosphere: 1

I must say even though I've been Uber the food unbelievable💯 I've ordered the same things like 4 odd times and bam! Asking for changes not a problem! Cannot wait to be mentally well to be able to eat in restaurant. That steak looks to f'n die for! Food: 5

They have really tasty burgers and super crispy chips. I really rate the beef burger, the Swiss cheese really makes it. Pretty cool building and interior as well, excellent place to relax and have a beer. Looking forward to trying their outdoor seating come summer! I was surprised this place wasn't busier on a Saturday night 11pm-1am. Pint prices were reasonable and similar to other places in Nelson. They do offer a limited range of $10 cocktails and other drink deals

Great food! Great atmosphere and even better drinks! The new bartender, Chris, makes the best margaritas in town. Amazing customer service by all. Will definitely be back and is my new "go to" for family and friend get togethers. Wonderful set up, clean, big screens, good music, and something on the menu for everyone! Me and a couple of friends decided to give The Buxton a try away from our usuals and wow we were impressed, the steak was beautifully cooked, well seasoned and melted in your mouth with a decent serving of mushroom sauce that will get you through your chips and steak plus some, the burger was great too and the tenders were so fresh! 10/10 recommend especially with their $12 cocktails!
