The food took over an hour, they were short staffed, so I understand, owner was originally mean from stress, but then became nicer.
Everything was undercooked as they were trying to rush the orders out since they were waiting an hour and a half for gas to cut the deep fryers on. It’s more of a bar, so that’s cool if you want to watch sports but if you’re coming for the food, there’s other options closer.
I was hoping for the best fish and chips in town, but was highly disappointed because the skin fell right off the fish. Also the burger wasn’t even good at all. Tasteless. Wings are very small but it’s bar food so I understand. Great prices that it is a bonus here!
I definitely will try to get in. Maybe it was a bad for the restaurant, and if it’s better, I will change my review, but for now 3 star experience.

Classic Fish N Chips
In playa for 10 days and the family has been here multiple times and raved about it. Tonight was my first time and it did not disappoint! Great location, awesome atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff.
I ordered bangers and mash, my partner and her mother ordered fish and chips, and her aunt and dad ordered chicken wings. Everyone loved and finished their entire meal! Even ordered some fresh oysters afterwards. Myself and the aunt had margaritas and they were some of the best I’ve had.
The prices reflect the quality, not too expensive but not cheap. Very reasonable. I will 100% return back before we leave playa!

Bangers and Mash
Best burger in town! I have been all over playa to search for the best burger and this is it! We go here frequently and we love everything so far…very tasty comfort food. The lasagna, the burger and the Sunday roast beef special is just scrumptious…like mama’s home cooking. Franco the waiter attended us with a warm smile and fast service. I take all my friends here and they end up returning again and again. Highly recommend!

Brilliant place!! Absolutely love it!! Heath the owner was there and made sure we were ok all the way through our time there. Me and my partner have been looking for a place just like this for years here in playa, so we were so excited to visit. The food was SO SO SO GOOD, big portions and super fresh and tasty. I had the fish and chips and my partner had the bangers and mash. From the start to the finish it was an exception experience and we can’t wait to go back. We finished every inch that was on the plate, can’t wait to go back! Thank you Heath and team for a great experience all round!!

An outstanding meal at The Admiral Sports Bar tonight. We were truly impressed. Everything was absolutely perfect. Calamari, fish and chips and wings were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. And the attention to detail. Not only were the wings cooked to perfection, but the seasoning was perfect and the house made ranch was outstanding. The fish batter was crispy and doughy, the fish was flaky, and the tartar sauce was superb. This is definitely our new go to spot. Excellent service as well.
Amazing food, fantastic drinks and by far the best service we've had in Mexico. Everything we've had on the menu has been stellar. Easily the best fish and chips I've had anywhere in my life, including in England. The burger is great too.

Perfectly crispy and amazing wings. Fish and chips adorned with a freshly made dipping sauce. Breading was light and not heavy at all, really showcasing the white flaky fish. I will definitely be back.
