The Pizza was really tasty, I ate it so fast! And the drinks (cocktails) where also really good. The waiter (Santi) did an amazing job making them. Finally some food and drinks worth the money. Thank you! I would definitely recommend it and also come again Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Food served cold, plates not warmed, service is very poor. If you are not qualified or experienced, you cannot pretend to be giving a good service. In fact you were faking it and all you were doing was to get rid of the client by taking short cuts. Cold temperature inside the restaurant with draft of air flowing through one of the dining rooms all the time. Bar window and door left open in winter. Was so uncomfortable. Never again. It was a late booking at 22.00 for 6 persons one of which was wheelchair bound. The staff were very helpful in partially carrying this person in and out of the restaurant. There was a good selection on the menu plus daily specials. We had a selection of pizzas and pasta. Reasonable prices on the wines. We had a bottle of Argentine Malbec, plus wine by the glass and water. The pizzas were excellent in taste as were the pastas cooked all dente. 2 desserts and espressos to finish. As it was NYE we had a countdown on the overhead TV. The management gave us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco which I thought was very generous of them. We were pleased with the excellent food and service and they will definitely see us again. Only negative comment would be the difficulty in finding parking but as it was NYE understandable. The Nero di seppia pasta was a huge portion that I wasn’t able to finish, and full of octopus! Delicious!! It was so nice because, in fact, they had only Nero di seppia risoto, so I asked the waiter if it was possible to make the past instead and they were so nice they made it!! Such a great service! Very friendly and kind staff! The pizza was one of the best I’ve tried so far! Meal type Dinner Price per person €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Tax-Xiha is a fantastic place to eat and we enjoyed it so much we returned 3 times during our weeks' stay. The menu choices are vast so any taste is catered for. The food was so delicious, fresh and well presented. The service was second to none, particularly Julian, whose attention is incredible - I'm gluten free and he went out of his way to ensure that my needs were catered for. I had a gluten free pizza on the first night; it's hard to get a decent GF pizza but this one was exceptional. I was in food heaven! Nothing was too much trouble and we were greeted each night with such friendliness. The portions were generous and there was no room for dessert! I have to say that we tried other restaurants in Zebbug which were nice, but none as outstanding as this place. Tax-Xiha is this little gem in the heart of Zebbug where I found one of the best pizzas on the island!! The menu included a great selection of pizzas but I ordered the monthly special and it was absolutely divine. I have to give a shout out to the staff who were so welcoming and friendly; thank you for making our dining experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely visit again soon! Lovely place. Menu is not extensive and what we had was delicious. I couldn't finish my beef salad and my partner practically devoured his calamari, which were cooked perfectly. Friends had a pizza each which was tasty and flavoursome. The place has an outside area for those who prefer to dine outside but we chose to stay indoors which is an old house of character split on different floors with beautiful stonework and Maltese tiles. Staff is friendly and approachable. Highly recommended.
The food is fresh, local and very good. We came twice and each time went for the recommended fresh dishes of the day. We had the tuna tartare which was great, truffle risotto 👌, and fresh sea bass. All were really fresh and very good. We tried the speciality pizzas with the folded dough and really liked them as well. The dough is quite thick, very enjoyable as not dry. So overall, I would come back. Fish of the day was a bit pricey though. Good portions.
Visited on a weekday. We had twisted dough pizza and it was superb as always. Cocktails and gin & tonics were also vast and genuine. It looks like an old Maltese house which makes your experience even more better. Will return for more!
A great restaurant with a really good selection of fish dishes as well as burgers and pizza just a bit pricy! There is often a number of fish specials for both starters and main courses which for us include Tuna belly, Tuna tartar abs Blue Bream. The kids had the burgers (to be fair the kids burger was the same size as the adult burger but half the price) and they also had a good selection of wines too. 2 starters, 4 main courses (including kids meals) and 2 bottles of wine and this was over €200! There are cheaper places, not quite as fancy, but with great food just a stones throw away…
