Tal-Furnar - "The Oven" Okey, let's face it. It's not for everyone. If you expect a 5-star environment, fine dining, linen table cloths and such, this is not for you. However, if you enjoy solid, good food, that competes with the 5 star places, in the rustic environment of an old bakery, the smell of a proper wood-fired oven, with super-tasty food and good drink, Come over here! The chicken? The beef rib? Fantastic! That dessert, cinnamon ice cream and imqaret, bliss! It was just the cherry on the top. Their pizzas are just as great! I've been eating here now for a few years and Never have i been disappointed. First off the family who run this place (starting from Carmen) are extremely hospitable and welcoming. The food itself is home made and genuine (cooked by Carmens daughter if I am not mistaken). I really recommend the Maltese Sausage starter and the Pork with crackling as a main. The house wine is very good and well priced. And finally - true value for money. Merits repeated visits. Piccolo locale storico. Cibo eccezionale, porzioni abbondanti, personale gentilissimo. Conto proporzionato. In particolare, il pane che accompagna l'insalatona è fatto in casa, nel forno a legna all'interno del locale. Consigliatissimo.
