This is my first visit to a Steam Boat restaurant, and I recommend this place. We tried Japanese dishes, including Chicken Ramen and Chicken Dumplings. The food was delicious and worth the money. Not too many artificial flavors, and the portions were satisfactory. While the place is a bit old, it offers enough space for team gatherings. The staff is exceptionally supportive and friendly, guiding us in selecting dishes that met our expectations. Prices are reasonable. We celebrated our golden wedding anniversary here with 30 guests. The food was great and delicious. Everyone enjoyed. The staff was very helpful. They looked into all our needs. A big thank you to Samantha. Highly recommended place for any occasion.

Restuarent with nice ambience. Tried their Japanese collection. Chicken Katsudon and Fried chicken is delicious. We got something like dumplings which I didn't like the taste. However, it's purely personal taste preference. Good ambience, even for a birthday party or a family gathering. The complex has an old traditional interior. Highly recommended. Wonderful place to have a small gathering with your friends. It is an old mansion which converted to a restaurant so the antique ambience is there. Seats are available either inside or outside. Menu has a large variety with many items. Fair prices. Parking is available inside. We ordered Singapore style Chicken, Seafood Mongolian Rice and Seafood Chow mein and they were delicious with a quick delivering time. Good portion sizes. The staff service was really friendly and helpful. Recommending for a dinner out. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Its a great place to dine in with your family or partner. Kid friendly atmosphere. Food is good and price also reasonable. However service is average sometimes staff not even caring for customers. Talking about their Chinese food menu it’s mediocre and portion wise it’s enough for two people but their Japanese cuisines worth to try. I had lunch at this establishment in couple of instances. This is a colonial type house and it can accommodate 75 ppl once . You can see various antiques there .Can not satisfied with their customer service specially steward called ‘Lahiru’ his attitude and customer service is nil. Place is situated by the side of the Galle Road and there is enough parking space. It is an old house turned into a restaurant. Their food used to be very tasty back then. The seafood Nasigoreng has reduced in its quality and taste. The customer service is poor as they have a large crowd but they don't attend to the customers fast enough. There is a huge space and it could cater a lot of people at once. Inside, the garden is really nice and well maintained. Food: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Good food though portion sizes of the dishes could be bigger. Slightly on the expensive side. Edit: Been ordering from them regularly (delivery) for the past few months and the food is much much better than I remember when I first posted the review. Hence bumping it to 5 stars. Food is excellent and the service is also great! They recently opened up their Japanese restaurant as well and those dishes are exceptional as well!
