Nice setting and good service. Just did a wine tasting. The tastings are $20 for 4 wines. Other places offer 6 wines for $10. The wine is pretty awful. Could only finish 4 of the 8 we got. Can’t comment on the food.
We had a lovely, cheerful experience tasting the wine and limoncello. The man who hosted us was full of information, friendly and made the experience thoroughly excellent. The limoncello is delicious as is the wine. Definitely a place to go have a relaxed and fun outing. Would highly recommend!
Stop looking - you've found the best.
This is seriously amazing stuff - after trying all the limoncello available in New Zealand it simple doesn't get any better.
Also recommend the chocolate & coffee liqueur too - pour some over ice-cream for a delicious treat or make some beautiful espresso martinis.
My wife and I have been drinking this Limoncello, and have introduced friends to this product, for a large number of years now. We have tasted other brands but this one always rises to the top. Always have a bottle stored in the freezer.
Thoroughly recommended.
This is my absolute favourite limoncello - every time my bottle runs out I have to grab another one ASAP! The lemon goes brilliantly in a mojito and the chococello is sooooo good drizzled over some icecream. Drooling just thinking about it.... bring on Friday limoncello cocktails!
Head along via dei Tribunali towards Pizzeria Sorbillo and, tucked in on your righthand side a little off the street, is limoncello heaven. Just lemon rind, alcohol to hold flavour/aroma, sugar to balance pH and time, yet it seems to capture an essence of succulent sunlight in glass and a wiff of sea. Returned from Napoli with a couple of bottles but I need not have bothered.
Family Sovrano, in keeping it just as beautifully simple, work their own northern Italian magic in the far north at Kerikeri. You’ll pay a little more than the cheaper imports and local imitators but this is Kiwi limoncello at its best. It’s pure, intense, irresistibly delicious. Once is never enough...
