Very disappointing meal for a friday night. Ordered the chop suey and the vegetables had a dark tinge and were limp and stale! Also ordered the sweet n sour chicken..got all the way home and noticed it was sweet n sour pork..Well the pork tasted like it was off a 100 year old pig from Romania. Was to far to take back and complain..So decided this was the last visit to Southend takeaways Levin..Good chinese food is very limited in Levin and this was always our go to..Sad, and for $40 for some terrible food

Brought a Steak and egg burger as well as the 13 dollar fish chips and drink.
Burger was average, meat Pattie steak was like streaky bacon hardly had any in there.
I asked for chicken salt, to my surprise I got cinnamon on my fish and chips. I didn't even get my drink.
Apparently new owners, but that was the worst feed I've had, definitely won't be going back there

Totally incompetent. Can't even take a simple phone order and have it ready to collect in 10 to 15 minutes as advised. On arrival I paid for order then sat another 20 to 30 minutes as customers came and ordered over the counter and had orders filled in a timely fashion. Once order was found to be missing no effort was made to keep me informed what was happening. Sorry a small free bottle of sprite doesn't cut it as an apology. Will never go back. Avoid this place at all costs!

Tried a Bami Goreng and Combination Fried Rice.
Both were really good, my daughter is a fried rice fiend, and this is now her number one fried rice in town.
Am looking forward to trying their sweet and sour pork.

After getting a sub standard meal the other night, was contacted and offered a free replacement, which was lovely, I will definitely go again, manager was delightful to deal with, and special thanks to the little one who brought it out to my car and gave me two choc bars, you rock cheers Lynne

Bami Goreng - Spicy, Noodley , Chunky combination of meats. Just want to go back and get another one now. Awesome feed. Highly recommend.

Best Takeaway/Restaurant in Levin. My favourite go to for Fried Rice with a scoop of chips and fish. I have been going there since I was a boy and it has been the same family running it since then. They are very friendly and always cook nice food. Highly recommend going there. Thanks for all your service over the years.

We ordered 2 of the combination dinner packs. The food amount is well worth the money, the flavors are delicious, meals were made promptly, service had a smile as well. Will be back in the future!

I had long ago given up trying to find a decent Chinese takeaway in Levin, after trying the others and getting disappointed every time. Then a friend told me about South End takeaways. I love the food, it's fresh, clean and really well cooked, beautiful flavors. This my go-to for Chinese food and I tell anyone who will listen to try their food.
