Went there for a coffee with my wife and daughter. Stood there for a bit. Owner and assistant just ignored us. Clearly didn’t want our custom. We left and went to a warm and welcoming cafe around the corner. Service: 1

Fry bread with lamb curry was a first for me. Very interesting, robust flavours of spices and lamb sandwiched between this fluffy chewy bun. The home cured biltong was nice in all 3 flavours. Had to get all 3 because I couldn’t decide. Owners were very warm and welcoming too. A very nice cafe indeed! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

There lamb curry in fried bread is absolutely delicous. Would highly recommend it. Found it to be a reasonable price as well. Just disappointed that I checked this place out on my last day of holidays in Hokitika as I would have liked to have tried other things on the menu but I will be definitely back.

I couldn’t recommend this place enough what a great find. We ordered the fried bread burger beef patty absolutely delicious it’s one of those places where you will crave the taste. I even went back here to grab a bite before hitting the road. Very friendly staff so welcoming. Highly recommend

Lovely owners. Had a great chat. Prices on South African products are quite reasonable. Pitty the biltong wasn't dry, but we can blame the climate, too humid.

Amazing food, I had chicken burger with chip and probably best chips I've had, great flavor and the chicken was juicy and delicious!! Fair prices too so can't go wrong. Will definitely be back as much as I can!! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Amazing fresh delicious traditional SA meat treats - and priced good 👍 Bought 3 slightly smoked beef Kabanossi sticks $10 and other dry meat snacks - yum 😋 All crafted manually by the owner’s family. Little testers offered. Must-try in Hokitika! Great selection of desserts, different from typical NZ ones. With whipped cream, “coffee cake” and others tempting-looking sweet pies. Shop offers a variety of SA jewelry and arts items. A friendly owner. We had fun listening his little story and enjoying a nice special SA coffee.
