Nice food. Nothing too exciting, but perhaps because we didn’t try it over dinner. I’d like to go try it for dinner and form a proper opinion. Overall, really really nice staff! We got there for dinner. The food was delicious. The Tataky beef, cauliflower, pork on the grill for 12 hours and the daily fish were just amazing. The desserts - tapayoka brûlée and the tres leches were amazing. Not so expensive. Highly recommend. Amazing food. Super sweet setting overlooking the lagoon. Food is fresh, local and flavorful. We have eaten here several times. Make sure to get their smoothies. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Highly recommend getting a day pass here or staying here. The food and drinks were all incredible and we loved that we got access to the paddle boards here too. Habitas has their own little corner of the lagoon so it feels very peaceful. The staff were all incredible and the service was great. It is 70$/person for a pass that goes towards your food/drinks which goes surprisingly fast!!

We were stunned at how incredible this restaurant is! The food is phenomenal and all made with local ingredients. It is obvious that the chefs and kitchen staff truly put a lot of care into the dishes. And the servers were all excellent, as well. They were all attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely pleasant to chat with. We ate multiple meals here over several days and had the same great experience every time, without fail. HIGHLY recommend for a nice meal, whether you’re a guest at Habitas or simply in the Bacalar area.

The food is absolutely divine! Highly recommend dining here. The staff is also super considerate and they do well to make sure your dietary restrictions are observed. The fish is always super fresh, I especially like the beet tartar and organic chicken at dinner. Can’t go wrong eating here.

Best restaurant in Bacalar, the staff are very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended if you are in town. The property is is beautiful and the food is incredible.

We stayed at Habitas Bacalar and had a lovely time and delicious food. However, upon checkout they did try to charge us for food we already paid for. We tried to pay with a credit card instead of charging to the room which seemed fine until we realized they actually charged us to the card AND the room. We are on our honeymoon and are still resolving this issue and they are still pursuing our second payment with confusing communication. Price per person $1,000+

Made a reservation 5 days ago on opentable , for dinner at 7pm. Called to confirm , as I messaged the restaurant also 2 days ago with no response , and they told me they have a private event and are not accepting reservations. Unacceptable to mess up with people’s plans and not update their reservation systems. Now last minute on 1 January I would likely not be able to get a reservation anywhere else.

Great service and amazing views of the lagoon. Habitas Bacalar is definitely a special place.
