Very bad service, arrogant perosnal, on purpose were delaying an order as we needed some more time to decide what to drink when waitress was pushing that we order only 4 drinks when we had 5 people. If you don’t want to break your mood, just avoid it. They don’t care about their clients. Meal type Lunch Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I’ve been vegetarian for almost a decade. Ordered a vegetarian schnitzel. Had a few bites and something felt off. Of course, I was given a chicken schnitzel. I understand mistakes happen but the least you can do is say sorry and look a little bit remorseful. We didn’t even get an apology. It’s been a few hours and I still feel sick. Chicken schnitzel is pressed chicken meat, even worse than McDonald’s chicken nuggets. Restaurant reminds me of a bad snackbar…. 3.9 Stars I do not understand this review score….. far too high. Must get a lot of customers without taste 😅 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

Food was very tasty. Staff however were not good.. they all had a lot of attitude and made customers who were eating there, feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The place has a lot of potential, the first steps in order to improve, should be to change up the management and to fix the staff’s customer service skills. Wonderful Austrian restaurant. If you are overwhelmed by the menu options, the Duomix will get you a schnitzel and a German currywurst. They are both delicious. The curry sauce is also delicious with fries. The service is friendly, the food is great, portions are very generous, and fries and salad are 'à volonté'. It’s a good location. Food is average. Service is also average. It is quite pricy though. I paid €6.5 for a large glass of cola!! If there is no alternative, this can be a place, otherwise they have of plenty of things to improve. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

This place reminded us of home in Texas. The food was tasty, the service was nice, and the atmosphere was quaint. The fish and chips, and German pretzel were divine. Not to mention free water! After living in the Netherlands for 10 months it was a nice change of pace. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Double curry wurst is the worst sausage I have had in my life. Paid in full and went to another restaurant 🤢. Daughters food was also not good. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €20–30

We stumbled upon this place because all the other restaurants in the shopping area were packed and we were starving. We didn't expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised. First off, the restaurant was not crowded at all, which was a nice change of pace from the long lines and wait times we experienced elsewhere. The menu was a bit pricier than some of the other restaurants, but it was definitely worth it. The portions were generous and filling, and they even had a salad bar (which we didn't realize was all-you-can-eat until later on). The atmosphere of the restaurant was very German, which was no surprise given Roermond's proximity to the country. The outfits worn by the servers and the interior of the restaurant were authentically German, and the menu was even available in both Dutch and German. It was like we were transported to Germany without ever leaving the Netherlands! As for the food itself, Schnitzelparadies specializes in schnitzel (as the name suggests), and they definitely deliver on authenticity. I also tried their pancake dessert, which was simply delicious. It was a basic pancake topped with ice cream, whipped cream, and cherry sauce, but the German vibes of the restaurant somehow made it taste even better. The only downside was the service, which wasn't as friendly or personal, but no worries at all, this issue of hospitality being somewhat mediocre is actually quite common in Western Europe. It cannot be compared to warm tropical countries when it comes to the friendliness of service. However, we know the staff was working hard to serve customers and make sure we were happy with the quality of the food. And speaking of which, the quality was definitely on par with five-star standards. All in all, Schnitzelparadies is a hidden gem in Roermond that you shouldn't miss. The food is delicious and authentic, the atmosphere is German and fun, and the service is hard-working and efficient. Give yourself a try, your happy belly will thank you later. Visited several times, usually as a break from shopping at the outlet, always great schnitzels and service. I personally also like the uniforms the waitresses are wearing. Together with the interior it completes the picture. Since it is close to Germany they speak Dutch, German and English.
