These restaurant will be the affordable option at Mirissa . The place was okay, no plenty of space for seating. They had a wide range of menu. In an area full of overpriced tourist restaurants. This unassuming restaurant serves the best rice & curry in the area. Prices are very fair. 550 for vegetable or 800 for fish. Constant stream of locals collecting food from here. Much more authentic and delicious food than the other restaurants in the area. The food is really good along with unique tastes. Food isn't just good but comes with a very reasonable prices. They have multiple variety of food for the same item. This place is a must try if you visit Mirissa, it's completely worth it!! The staff as well is very sweet and gentle. Come here for good value & authentic Sri Lankan curries, rotis and samosas which you can easily take out to the beach over the road. You will find that often in big tourist spots the curries are toned down for their main customers. Here, they are not - there are often locals eating there and it’s great! Restaurant left us extremely dissatisfied. We ordered chicken kottu but were served a dish with absolutely no chicken in it. This was not only misleading but also a letdown in terms of taste and value for money. The service was lackluster, and the staff seemed indifferent to our concerns. Samagi failed to deliver what they promised, and I would strongly advise against dining here if you expect a fulfilling experience. It was a complete letdown. A great local family eatery. The entire family seems to be here. Tasty food at a very wallet friendly price and only 50m back from the beach. We had two of the egg roti (160)- sorry forgot to take a pic (hungry), Samagi combo fried rice (550) and two cokes (180). Damage? 890Rs for two. Be careful when going to the toilet. 1. Don't turn left when you come out and 2. Watch your head coming back up the stairs. Ouchy.
