It was a great experience, since we arrived at the hotel and were friendly greeted from the staff, everybody at the rotunda was super friendly and welcoming. Afterwords we took the Gondola; Jesus the gondola rider was super friendly and guided us through the whole trip, have to say that the views are beautiful even at night, this ride was soooo worth it. As we arrived to Saffron we were welcomed by Jazz who was very friendly as well, she was already waiting for us with a roses hand bath to start our evening. Once we were seated at a great table by the lagoon our waitress was very helpful and made amazing suggestions for food and drinks, then we were greeted by the sweetest Restaurant Supervisor Diana who made our experience even more personalized with a lot of knowledge and hosting skills. The food was above and beyond delicious; we had an entree that allowed us to enjoy a small bite of everything, the sauces are unique and delightful you can really enjoy the flavors on each of them, you must try them all: coconut, ginger, peanuts, etc; For main course we had the shrimp and Shrimp Pad Thai and I have to say the “shrimp” was perfectly cooked; Juicy, tender and on point flavor, as well as the “rice” and “Pad Thai”. Just make sure to save some space for dessert, was so worth it. Thank you Saffron for a wonderful experience. 💎💎💎💎💎

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Saffron that left me absolutely mesmerized. Not only was the food divine, but the view and atmosphere were simply stunning. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by an ambiance that was both elegant and cozy. As I settled into my seat, I couldn't help but be captivated by the breathtaking view of the surrounding scenery. Now, let's talk about the food. Each dish that graced the table was a masterpiece in its own right. The flavors were expertly crafted, and every bite was a delightful explosion of taste. From the appetizers to the desserts, the quality and presentation were top-notch. It was evident that the chefs poured their heart and soul into each culinary creation. What truly set this restaurant apart, though, was the combination of delectable food and the picturesque setting. As I enjoyed my meal, I found myself constantly gazing out the window, awestruck by the beauty of the landscape. The panoramic view added a layer of enchantment to the dining experience, making it truly unforgettable. The carefully designed atmosphere further enhanced my dining pleasure. The decor, lighting, and music all worked together to create a warm and inviting ambiance. It was the perfect blend of sophistication and comfort, making me feel both indulged and at ease. In conclusion, this restaurant is a hidden gem that delivers on all fronts. The food is exceptional, the view is breathtaking, and the atmosphere is enchanting. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a memorable dining experience with friends, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment. Prepare to be amazed by the culinary delights and the captivating surroundings. Service Dine in Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Lovely atmosphere and view and great service, and the food much improved. We ate here a couple of times before (2021 & 2022), and Though service, vibe etc were great, we felt the food was fairly average. Pleased to say this time (2023) the food has improved significantly. Granted if you’ve eaten Thai food in Thailand then you’ll probably still be a little disappointed, but otherwise you’ll likely find the experience very good. The starter sampler platter is a star, the amuse bouche were excellent, and the pad Thai honestly very good. Now Saffron is well worth a visit Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1,000+ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Pad Thai Noodles

The atmosphere was stunning. All the dishes we ordered were absolutely incredible. The taste was so unique and authentic, and not heavy. They served us some pre appetizers, which were also so good! Stick to mild/medium spice level, you’ll thank me later. Let’s not forget - German was an absolutely fantastic server!! He was attentive and knew what we needed before we even asked for it. Highly recommend this restaurant and asking for German to be your service. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Delicious Thai food and curries. Great selection of appetizers and kids menu. Everyone loved their food and drinks. The Thai version of the carajillo was excellent. We love seafood and had so many shrimp dishes. The view at night and welcome (rose water and towels) set the tone. Highly recommend. A wonderful restaurant on the property! It was not only beautiful, but also delicious! It’s quite pricey but a great experience. Our waiter, German, was very attentive and helpful in choosing our plates! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $900–1,000 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Amazing atmosphere, but the food was underwhelming. I know what good Thai food tastes like, and it was not it. Extremely expensive place for what you get. I am very surprised that this restaurant is so popular Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1,000+ Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

The food was average, the service was good and the atmosphere was perfect. But what is not acceptable is that the menu is priced in US dollar and that when the bill comes they use a 20 MXN versus USD exchange rate, whereas the official rate of 17 MXN versus USD and so they are in practice overbilling you with 15% I made very clear to the manager that this was unacceptable, and after some kind words, they kindly offered me a 15% discount to make the issue go away I don’t know if I’m the only one making an issue of this, but I was staying at the Fairmont Mayacoba where everything is priced in Mexican pesos and charged in Mexican pesos, and when you check out you pay in Mexican pesos, that is consistent and that is clear. When they start mixing up USD and Mexican pesos, and then use an outrageous exchange rate of 20 MXN to USD that is unacceptable, and that is fraud ! I hope more travellers make an issue out of this !
