Great seafood dishes, big portions, fair prices. Even simple stuff like boiled potatoes are deliciously cooked with garlic and some special herbs. Very friendly staff (seems like a very nice family business). Good fresh fruit drinks and deserts (they seem to grow the fruits in their own yard). Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person Rs 2,500–3,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Butter Prawns with Chips & Vegetable Salad
The food is absolutely delicious. They offer fresh fish, calamari, prawns, lobster and crab. We ordered two devilled dishes and they were truly amazing. Fresh juices are fully made from fruits, no water additions (as happened in other restaurants). If you decide to go there, just follow the instructions on Google maps - it might seem that there won’t be any restaurant at the end of the road, but there is!!!! So don’t get discouraged :) the food is worth it Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person Rs 1,500–2,000
We came in the morning but we stayed for hours. The place was so enjoyable. Please order seafood, it is so fresh. He picked oysters and mussels from sea and I tried it immidiately. Please do not expect anything before an hour because they make food for order. We ordered bottle of wine and juices for children and they served it right on the rocks on the sea so we had excellent time with family. For food we had lobster, grillled chicken with fried rice and pancakes. Also we tried their chai matte which was also excellent. If you are luchky then you can see seeturyles comeing to the beach! I highly reccommend! Meal type Brunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Avoid. Worst experience in 3 weeks of Sri Lanka. Stray dogs everywhere, fighting and begging for food. Cats eating leftovers on tables. Very unsafe due to Rekawa beach and this place being completely isolated and deserted. Beach section of restaurant with 1 table also secluded and unsafe. Owner is a total creep and was either drunk or completely stoned. Kept hitting on a teenage co-worker saying “my wife”. Horrible food delivered after almost 2 hours of waiting. “Prawn Noodles” were overpriced lumpy noodles with 2 prawns and 1 prawn head. Stale coconut. Get a tuk-tuk and run away to a different town. If you decide to stay, there’s another restaurant nearby with an actual view of the beach and a nicer surrounding.
Another lucky find. We really didn't expect such an awesome iced coffee - definitely the best we had during the whole trip! And even fresh lobster...come on...how cool is that? Sitting there at the only table right at the beach, no other people...just us, the lobster and the waves :D
Very romantic location right on the beach. Expect to get your feet wet. Food cooked to order so don’t expect anything earlier than 45 mins BUT you will not be disappointed by the quality and quantity of fresh fish. Don’t tell too many people about this gem! We will be back.

Lovely place and great seafood! It is quite a small place with only three tables and a small shed where the host has his kitchen but all very new and clean as he only opened 10 months ago. They also have a table a bit down a private path right by the beach. The food was delicious and everything was very fresh!
Lovely family owned restaurant right on the beach. We had a delicious seafood platter here. Freshly cooked so don't expect a rapid service but worth the wait. Huge portions. Very happy!
The place and the food was very nice, and ran by a nice family it seems. Getting there with a tuk tuk was a bit hard - the road was so so, especially during night. Good for seafood and kattu. Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Not only the food was delicious but it was the most beautifully located restaurant I have ever been to. Tasting fresh sea food and fishes just by the ocean and with such spectacular view is must-do when visiting Tangalle
