Epic. We LOVED our first visit here finally! The welcome even on a very busy day was so warm and genuine which is a reflection on just how great this place is with such hardworking owners and staff. It has so much heart with great style and atmosphere and seriously good coffee and delicious flavoursome food to back it up. The sandwiches and pretzels (one had there and an extra one after to take away - can confirm that both the pesto and the cheese options on the side were both yummy) were absolutely delicious and lived up to expectations for our first visit and then some. The coffee was super on point and the whole experience was so enjoyable - including the great mix of locals and travellers from NZ and overseas giving it a positive vibe and energy. We also loved being able to buy some honey and there are many more offerings too. Thanks for being such a friendly welcoming spot with great food and coffee, even when completely slammed with customers! Already looking forward to (actually craving) our next visit.

Adorable cafe with delicious coffee and food! There was an awesome selection of New Zealand made gifts too. The staff were so welcoming and really make their visitors and locals feel at home.
This gem made us fall in love with Lumsden even more!

Stopped in again because our first visit was so good! I will now not go through Lumsden without stopping here! Coffee is exactly how I ask for it & the TOASTED Sammie’s are epically divine! They have a gorgeous shop area for deli like foods/pickles etc.
The best Mother Clucker (chicken, Brie and cranberry) toastie I have ever had, along with a delicious coffee. Would totally recommend this as a place to stop off for a meal or coffee. Staff are lovely and are happy to serve.

We waited 40 minutes for our take away order. We ordered Cappuccino and Chocolate on Kate name and we found that we got 2 coffees, unfortunately my boyfriend doesn’t drink coffee so we came back and staff said that we took a wrong order, even you said Kate name, and nothing was written on it to check it. Same size. You took the coffees angrily back, even I said that you can leave me one coffee. Noone came for this missing order. Then we waited in total 40 minutes to get our order. Your shop is beautiful and cozy, but try to get the ordering and preparation more efficient and clear. In your shop were 5 staffs.
Food was absolutely delicious! Me and my family ordered three toasties, a coffee, a hot chocolate, a milkshake and a dessert, we were eating within 5 minutes of sitting down and we not disappointed! service was beautiful the ladies were so sweet and checked in on us while we were eating, they had free water available and a beautiful outside eating area!

Great service too
We stayed in Lumsden for a couple nights whilst travelling around the area and we came here everyday. Everything we tried here was delicious and my partner said the coffee was the best he’s had in NZ! The staff were always lovely and pleasant to talk too. Such a special place in a lovely town and definitely 100% worth a look in.
