When entering a waiter let us chose a table, since there were many empty tables. Another waiter however told us to go to another spot due to our dog, which was worded very harshly. After ordering food, they food arrived but wasn't to our liking, and tasted oddly, was oversalted. We let our dog have a small piece. After that a waiter arrived started yelling at us took our food away, told us to not play with our food. Started attacking us personally for the clothing we were wearing. We were forced to pay and leave for a food, we didn't even get to pay, personally harrassed and cursed at. No other waiter stepped in. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. They ruined our appetite. For the information: we have a well behaved golden Retriever. We have been to this restaurant on our trips to Domburg before and the dog never caused an issue in this particular restaurants, but it seems that there is different staff now. The following experience was made on September 24th 18:15 – 18:45 I went to Verdi’s and said, that I would like to reserve a table. The waiter said: „There are no reservations, come when you are ready and I get you a table“. For me the wording was somewhat harsh. I would have preferred something like „I am sorry, but we don’t make any reservations, and I am sure I can find a table for you, when you will come.“ Half an hour later I returned, the same waiter appeared and I asked for a table. „two?“ was the harsh question and I anwered, „no, we are four persons.“ Then he said, „ok, come!“ and walked in quickly. I called after him, „excuse me, is it possible to get a table outside?“ Then he turned around and said: „I don’t know about your table, but I am inside“ and people sitting nearby started lauhing. I would had expected something like „I am sorry, the only thing I can offer is a table inside“ or „maybe if you have a little time, I can offer you a table outside later“ or „come in and have a drink at the bar and as soon as there is a free table outside I will seat you there“. We turned around and went to another restaurant on the other side of the street less than 100 m away with comparable menu and pricing, got nice seats outside and we were treated friendly and felt welcome as guests. Who on earth do Verdi’s waiters think they are?

The pizza dough is ok, but why do you put garlic on a pizza? And if you have to, why so much? The quantity of garlic was gigantic and I can still feel it the next day. Food was great as every time. It was very busy inside but that is normal there in the evening. I found it strange, however, that the staff served beer to youngsters who clearly were not anywhere near 18 yet. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Really a good restaurant, especially the service. I would rate it 4.5, considering the respect the guys gave to us. Food was also very good and was ready to customize. Price per person €20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It was a bit disappointed due to great review. I ordered a chicken filet and it was very dry. But the rest of this main dish was very good. The pizza dough could also be better for an Italian restaurant. It seems that is not a fresh dough.

In these strange times where our lives are disrupted by the Corona virus, atleast we can still have a good meal, even if it is only take away! The spaghetti frutti di mare and the tagliatelle carbonara are wonderful and LARGE portions! Want to have a nice italian meal? Consider Ristorante Verdi 😊👍🏻
