The food was not near as the prices. We ordered the lobster, the biggest one, and didn't have a taste. Don't waste your time and money, where there's better restaurants nearby and with better prices.

The place was clean and the food was good. The portions were large; and that is what you won't get at the elegant places in town. Decor is rustic and definitely has that no frills ambiance. Think Mom and Pop restaurants-- without the memorable mom and pop. Service and decor isn't what you come here for: if you are hungry, this is a good place to check out.

For someone anticipating the food I could not be less impressed the chicharrón de calamar was really untasty and unsightly. The place is quite nice an ventilation and shadeare very regional inspired I won't recommend asking anything that involves squid aside that I had to wait quite some time to get my food and it was pricey than Average.p My friends were ok with their food so I guess is not all that terrible.
I had heard this was a good place to eat, but my disappointment was huge. Food lacked taste, we order a ceviche that seemed to be watered down. The "pulpo al olivo" came it little olivo sauce and the pulpo/octopus was a hard to eat. The "picante de mariscos" was terrible. It was not spicy at all and the sauce seemed to have too much milk. The worst plate was the "bistek a lo pobre" OMG a thinly sliced bistek so hard to eat that I was afraid my theet would break. Terrible food, small servings, and too pricey. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Restaurante Espada is a restaurante turístico and as such the closest thing to a Peruvian restaurant you might know from home. Here you'll find a menu full of those classics such as lomo saltado and arroz chaufa. This is remarkable because in the touristic part of Máncora, this kind of restaurant is rare. Plenty of sushi, burger and pizza restaurants but very few Peruvian restaurants. Quality is fine, prices fair but it shares the toilets with a swimming pool.

Great food and service.
If you want steak well fried, you should ask for it twice since the meat is always half finished.
A bit pricey for the food quality and the service is very slow.
