Recommended by word of mouth as the best food to eat in Huaraz, it didn’t disappoint. The story behind going back to traditional roots of cooking and local ingredients is inspiring. The dishes themselves were outstanding and each one has been carefully designed. The young chef / owner is passionate and he talked through all the ingredients and the traditions. Priced very reasonably, this is a must go evening out. Don’t expect to be in a fancy environment, but just go for the food. Awesome. What an amazing restaurant! The food was delicious and so beautiful, the owner was the sweetest and incredibly passionate, the music was great, and it was very affordable. The owner/chef Franklin has done an amazing job with his menu and the food he is serving is top class. Everything is made in house, pasta, Gnocchi etc. Easily the best meal we have had in the last few months travelling South and Central America. Prices are great (cheaper than a hamburger in the tourist area) Would highly recommend. The owner is extremely passionate and proud of the food he is serving. When traveling and it's time to eat, I go to Google Maps and read reviews. Look at the photos. Generally if a restaurant has a 5 star rating, I believe that the owner's family and friends have been coerced into leaving favorable reviews. This place dispelled my notion. This meal may be the best I've had in Peru. If not South America. The Oso Buco melted in my mouth. The flavors of the pasta sparkled. On arrival, I ordered a beer. After the meal I had no desire to finish the beer. I didn’t want it to ruin the flavors of the meal that remained. We went for dinner after the hike to Laguna Churup. The food was amazing! We had the osobuco, the lomo fino en finas hierbas and the moss de arandano. The service was good and the owner/chef even came out to talk to us for a bit (with our poor Spanish). A shame that we were the only ones in the restaurant. The name of the restaurant will change soon to Salmer (I think) but don't miss this spot! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Without doubt the best place to eat in Huaraz! And if you are looking for vegetarian food, this is also the place to go with lots of salads and the most delicious home made pasta. The owner is one of the most inspiring people I've met in a long time with a story to tell about every plate and very passionate. Just dined at this newly opened gem in Huaraz. The food was impeccable, with a presentation rivaling fine dining establishments. The flavors were spot on, and the value is unbeatable—expect to pay double elsewhere for this caliber of cuisine. The young owner, who doubles as the chef, showcased not only his culinary prowess but also a genuine warmth and friendliness. A must-visit when in Huaraz! I'll surely be visiting again.
