Great overall experience. Very cool vibe here with high quality food and cool music. The menu caters to vegans as well and those options are super tasty. We had the fried cauliflower, veggie tacos and veggie burger and were pleased with everything. We also came on a rainy night and the atmosphere was so warm and easy going that we still had a great time. Hearing the sound of the rain on the metal roof was also very sweet and romantic. Would def come here again with friends or for date night. Also had great cocktails as well!!

Pook Chu'c was just an amazing experience and is definitely a must go in tulum. First, the place is very cute with a boho beergarten vibe and great music. The cocktails were bold and delicious, we had a passion fruit cold brew and a quetzal. The flavor profil were original and well balanced. As an appetizer, we ordered the queso fundido , the cheese was sooooo stretchy and it was an amazing pairing with the chile, pineapple and dried sausage topping. We also ordered the fried cauliflower which were tangy and crunchy and melty. As the principal dish, we tried the traditional pook chuuk and it was to die for, the cooking of the meat was done to perfection and smoky. Don't forget to try all their homemade sauces as well! You'll get a great service, a great meal and a great deal! If we're ever back in tulum it is the first place on our list 💗

One of the best meals I’ve had while I am in Mexico for over a month! The melted cheese starters was a very unique and tasty and filling. The burgers pork and beef both were outstanding with the Mexican flair added to it by the chef. The desert which was baked banana bread Mezcal and Artisanal honey really really recommend it. The Mezcal drink recommended by the chef was very smooth and tasty. I wouldn’t change a thing on the menu everything was outstanding.
This is a hidden gem in whole Tulum. You get a very tasty food, which you will for sure remember. Will feel like visiting friends and you see directly into the kitchen. The atmosphere of this magic place is accompanied by great dance music. it definitely doesn't ruin your price budget. We loved their homemade limonade - pinaple with ginger.
This place was awesome! Amazing team all around! They did take a while for our order since we were the first ones there, but everything was SO fresh! All the appetizers in the pic were amazing, and the burgers were great! Humble story the owner was telling us, and how they’re slowly building out their location now. Cool ambiance, nothing fancy, but the genuine care they had for ingredients, preparation, and quality of the food was evident in the taste 😃
Never been a burger fan until I was in Tulum and the ones served at pook chuuk are on the top of my list! From appetizer to mains, you’ve got lots of variety and delicious combinations of all sorts! Everything from the drinks, to the food, to the service is thoughtful and high in quality. I ordered the French fries, burger and grilled plantain dessert with creme and mezcal honey. Every part of the meal was incredibly fresh and tasty! It’s fast food prepared slow and with care. Omar, the talented chef also served me. I am grateful for his food and can’t wait to return! Highly recommended.
Possibly the BEST food we’ve had in Mexico. This is a small local family spot right in the centro but away from all the touristy and expensive restaurants. The prices are so reasonable it’s crazy. We ordered 2 Pook Chuuk burgers, which tasted AMAZING!! They didn’t have a chicken burger that one of us wanted so instead they brought us fried cauliflowers as a courtesy 🥺 their paprika fries are to die for and definitely try their pineapple ginger honey juice where they literally make the whole thing fresh in front of you! SUCH a hidden underrated gem and such warm hospitable people ❤️
I’ve walked by this spot for weeks now and finally went in. It’s kind of unassuming so you may not notice it but it’s so worth the hang out. The cauliflower starter and original burger was everything I needed. 🍔
If you’re craving a burger and a spot to hide from the Tuluminati crowd, go here.
