We dined here recently and had such a lovely time. The welcome we received was warm and friendly (despite it being busy and we didn’t have a booking) service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. Prices are mid-range; our meal with 1 x shared starter, 2 x main courses and 2 x drinks was approx. £75. The restaurant has a really cosy atmosphere so it’s perfect for a date night but would equally be great for a celebration with family and friends. Whilst all of our food was tasty, I’d highly recommend the antipasto board - it was huge and the quality of the ingredients was top notch. We would have no hesitation in returning and would encourage you to support local, independent small businesses like this restaurant in Guildford! Visited Olivo for a pre theatre dinner. Service was attentive but not intrusive, with a generous helping of humour. Food was delicious and pipping hot (when it should have been). The garlic bread was superb and worth having that on it's own as a snack; although even better dipped into the lasagne sauce. The only slight fly in the ointment (but I've not marked them down because of it) was that the wine was a tad expensive, even for the more basic wine. We haven't been for a while and not sure why this is but we will be coming back; albeit maybe just for a sober visit! Olivo restaurant surpassed my expectations with an exceptional lunch experience. The "Insalata di Gamberi" starter was an unexpected delight, featuring fresh shrimp and vibrant greens. The "Pollo alla Valdostana" main course was outstanding, perfectly cooked and beautifully seasoned. The sweet and decadent "Passione Fondente" dessert, along with other delightful options, made for a memorable meal. The amiable and attentive staff added to the overall experience. Our family's visit to Olivo Restaurant was outstanding. The 'Frittura' starter was a delicious beginning, followed by a perfect 'Pasta Carbonara' main course. The dessert was a delightful ending. Stopped by before going to the theatre nearby, didn’t have a booking but staff were accommodating enough to arrange a table. Nice menu with a good variety of chefs specials options. Had the seafood pasta and spaghetti vongolo which were both excellent, really good portions. Lovely wine too. Sat outside, atmosphere was great, very busy on a Saturday night and looked popular with locals as located away from the chain restaurants in the town.
