We have visited Olivemate several times. This is the first time we tried their Kottu. THE BEST KOTTU EVER!!! With extra 🧀 it boosts the taste! The food is really tasty as usual. The service is superb 🔥 The staff is very friendly ❤️ Highly recommend!!! Overly priced & Terrible service!! Came to Payagala for some product & training work and stopped by this cute little place i had been to once before to get some work done but had a very bad experience. Ordered a fruit salad & ice cream and lime and mint cooler. Staff in charge were slow and not able to accept a small request. First asked for say a teaspoon more ice cream for the fruits but as this was not possible asked for a coffee float. Meaning black coffee with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Rumesh the staff member in-charge at that time said he cannot agree to this request due to management orders. He also said that the management was watching and recording everything. Probably throught this would scare me. Very bad service overall. Do not recommend this place at all. Electricity for plug points do not work either. What was even more worse was when i called the owner to complain regarding the service of a staff member named Rumesh who was supposed to have been in training to be a manager. I was first spoken to in a very polite manner and said that he would get back to me after speaking to f & b. Ten to fifteen minutes later i call back as the owner never called back and was then very rudely told to pay the bill and leave or else that he would call the police (probably meant bribe them to come). This was all over an extra teaspoon of vanilla. When i went to pay and was trying to , explain as to how this type of situation could have been handled better, rumesh was very rude yet again and just kept asking me to leave. On of the best restaurants around kalutara. I have been twice to this restaurant and I must say my overall experience was really good. It's an Italian and Sri Lankan restaurant and the food was excellent. I really loved their special chicken kottu. It was amazing. The restaurant is well-maintained, and the service was excellent. Very cozy place with calm environment even though it s just next to the main road. Food was good ,portion size was ok, and taste was ok to good. A place with a unique envirenment located near to kalutara town. They have unique dishes under various categories. Instead of other cooking oils they use olive oil. Delicious as well as healthier. Seafood,chiken,vegitable dishes, pasta, rice, pizza and fruit juices were there.Customer servise was good too. Can recommend to anyone❤️
