Best fish i have ever had. Barracuda with parsley potato and garlic butter sauce was awesome. My partner had grilled prawn was mouthwatering. Banana fritters was soo mice. Go there friends. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

After a one hour wait the fish was cold and dry, the meat did not come off the bone. Nor was it grilled, perhaps pan fried on a dry pan for a loooong time. They accepted the problem and made me another fish. It came in 10 minutes but was absolutely raw, it did not look grilled either. I left. They did not charge me; thanks for that. Lovely setting though on the beach abd no mozzies. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

This place is amazing, highly recommend! The food was unreal. We had the chicken and Mahi Mahi. The mashed potatoes were so good, and the garlic butter sauce was amazing. As you walk up to this restaurant which is tucked away in a quiet corner of Tangalle Beach, you’ll be greeted by beautiful views of the beach. However, more special is the food which is lovingly cooked. My partner wanted to try lots of dishes and we spent hours there - each cooked freshly - huge shout out to the Sri Lankan flavours and fresh seafood; garlic butter chilli prawns were delightful. This is a business run by a lovely guy who is also looking after his parents. A wonderful way to support local business and taste delicious food whilst you’re at it. 🥰 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

They ask higher prices than average for sea food in Tangalle, probably because of the location. Not sure if it is worth it since I wasn’t able to try them. They didn’t have the things I wanted to order in the first place, so just went with the fried rice with prawns. Took them 1,5 hour! Not to mention the waiter had to come back because he forgot what I ordered, while there were only 3 tables in total. One of the tables left because they were already waiting for about 2,5 hours. This restaurant is a little hidden on the beach and we discovered it by chance today and went there for dinner. The owner is extremely friendly and goes out of his way. There are various delicious types of fish, my husband ate mahi mahi and was very impressed. You need to be patient as the owner prepares everything fresh and cooks it himself. Much enjoyed delicious fish dinner at Oceana. Quality fish beautifully prepared and presented. Restaurant peacefully located by the beach, accompanied only by the sound of waves breaking on the shore. Certainly recommended. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Lovely Chef with a lovely Restaurant! I had the Mahi Mahi and it was the best fish I had during 3 weeks in Sri Lanka! :) Bring a little bit of patience, because all is handmade and he is doing everything by himself, but the wait is totally worth it, because it is all made fresh and all by himself. We have been to his restaurant twice in this last week and every time the mahi mahi has been delicious. He cooks everything himself so be patient waiting for your food. It is well worth the wait. We ate here by chance, staying a short distance from the restaurant. The food served was excellent, prepared with fresh quality ingredients. The value was very good and the service was both professional and friendly. Highly recommend.
