About
Clients reserve a table for tasty meals here and enjoy the sights of Fun ho! National Toy Museum. Try nicely cooked meat pies, sausage rolls and sausages to form your opinion about Nelsons Bakery. Try good doughnuts. This place is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. But most people who use Google didn't grant this spot a high rating.

We got a steak, mushroom and pepper pie as well as a steak and garlic pie. Thought the meat was good but the pie needed a bit more gravy as it was a bit on the dry side (get some Tom sauce to go with it). Also, a flakier pastry wouldn’t go astray. Would recommend if you feel like a pie

Used to be one of the best bakery in this part of the country in the 8os and 90s, dissapointed at the state of the pies, dry, half the size of the original pie created by the founders, lady serving today really didn't want the job or to be at work and had zero public relations down rite rude, gas station across Rd has better pies,

Being a pie lover it's well worth a stop over. If this shop is open when I pass through I stop my daughter stops her children now stop.
Went back 70 years. Same entrance, window display shelf and lovely friendly local staff. A wonderful " trip down memory lane ". Loved the seat outside on the footpath. The old bakery still there too. Loved it

Great vegetarian pie, super delicious and hot.
Really average pies and the driest sausage roll I've ever eaten. How an actual bakery is not as good as the petrol station across the road is beyond me.
A great selection of meat pies, savorys, sandwiches and cakes etc. Friendly staff

Just had the misfortune of trying one of your mince pies distributed to the Coronation Dairy in town, one of the worst mince pies I have ever had in my whole life (And I am not a fussy eater). Pastry was a pale colour, next to no gravy, inside the mince was inconsistently colored some patches of pink and had the look and taste of what I assume cat food would. Unsure if there's been a change in ownership or you've been downgrading ingredients and recipes lately since all the feelgood articles for your business I can google are from 2011 (how the hell you still show up in the Lonely planet guide is beyond me - should be scrubbed). Sort out the quality control on your distribution or don't attach your name to them. At $3.60 I'd have been better off getting a pie from the servo.
Sadly... Looks like its closed. Why do they have a empty food display cabinet in the window and net curtains on window. A FLASHING OPEN SIGN WOULD HELP... Its a bakery but dont even sell a loaf of bread or 1x bun for my own soup. The potato top pies are not worth buying as they are 100% dried up by 1pm. Sadly i dont have much to say thats nice. I go only because i needed to not want to. SORRY GUYS. The mince pies are ok. As are the donuts. You would get more passing car traffic stopping if you looked ......OPEN...... You are on the main highway ? Use it.
