Not an easy place to find or get to, and depending on where you're coming from, gotta climb a steep hill. All more than worth it. The place is very small with two additional tables outside. Grab one if available, as it's great for people watching and chatting with strangers. The cafe is frequented by tourists, but watching the locals interact with the owners as they order 'the usual' is a treat. Service is quick and friendly, prices more than reasonable.

We had a lovely breakfast at this place. The prices were really good, the portions were huge and everything arrived fast. Thank you so much for also letting us take away the portion we couldn't finish. Another plus is how cozy and relaxed this place feels. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Fantastic value for money. Peach juice for €1.50, apple pie for €2.50 and a steak, egg and salad ftira for €4.50. Seating inside and outside is somewhat limited. Really fast service also - you don't regret coming here.

Homemade Apple Pie
You would think this would be a tourist trap, considering how beautiful and central it is. But no, I loved how quirky and small it was, the friendliness of the staff and the local specialties served !!
THE FOOD! Best small meals we had in Malta, the ftira with tuna and tomato, the crispy pastizzi, the pizza (with tuna) were all so unique and tasty. Also what a fantastic portion for the price. I was so happy when I asked for other tea flavours and the waiter brought a box for me to pick which one I wanted. I thought we would go there and eat some miserable pastizzi but I was so pleasantly surprised by their menu and atmosphere! Something to remember from Malta 😊

Tuna Pizza
Not that comfy but an ok experience if you want to see some of the oldie worldly Malta. Otherwise, it's not that comfy. Coffee wasn't to my taste but that's personal preference. IMHO there's lots of other better places to go... My partner liked it though!

El primer día comimos en el interior. Buenas cantidades y todo riquísimo. El segundo día cogimos para llevar 2 Ftira y estaban buenas pero al final mucho pan. Cierran a las 14:00 por lo que hay que ir pronto. Un sitio donde la mayoría coge para llevar.

Una taberna muy acogedora con decoraciones antiguas. Las comidas exquisitas. Prácticamente en toda mi estancia en la valeta fui a desayunar ahi. Sin duda volvería. El desayuno británico no tiene nada que ver con malta, pero me apetecía. 😅
