Writing this review because I am disappointing. I went ahead of time to order my best friends birthday cake. A mistake! Once we got to the party and it was time to cut the cake, she cut the cake for the guest the cake tasted old. it was not fresh. Everyone said it tasted the same… I called to speak with them about the situation. I stated I am not trying to get anything for free. I just want you guys to be aware. As I have had their mini cake before and they were delicious. The lady at the front told me it will not taste the same because it’s a mini OK cool. But also, the cake should not taste like it’s been baked days ahead of time. She stated it wasn’t and it couldn’t have been because the cake is custom. OK I understand the cake was custom however, it was made beautifully which I stated it to her as well, but just because the cake was custom does not mean it was bake fresh. The timing you guys baked it Matters. So whenever it was bake, it wasn’t in a good timely matter. She proceeded to get a attitude with me and saying I’m telling you it wasn’t and I told her OK I’m not going to go back-and-forth with you. I would just write a review because the cake tasted old. It was nothing good about it but the way it looked it looked beautiful. The cake tasted horrible. I also told her I will write this review. I was literally contacting them so that they are aware. Then she says ok and hang up.

Had the butter cream cake and a lemon cake. Both were good especially the butter cream, it was really good. Staff was polite and helpful, plan on coming back!

Their coconut cake with the glaze is incredible. Subtle and sweet. Ive gone back a few times in Houston and always happy to support a Black owned business. I went before the rebrand but I'm sure it doesn't matter.
